Join now >Carson Wentz lights up Cardinals for three first-quarter touchdowns in 34-7 win.
Wentz was 21/30 for 304 yards, four touchdowns, and one interception. He found Trey Burton, Zach Ertz, and Torrey Smith for scores in the first quarter, but the highlight was a deep ball to Nelson Agholor for a 72-yard touchdown in the third quarter, as he bombed it and Agholor did the rest. Wentz made an ill-advised interception where the safety easily picked it off in the end zone, but overall, it was an excellent day for the second-year quarterback. The Eagles have a short week with a game against Carolina on Thursday night. It’s on the road, so Wentz probably won’t be ranked as a QB1 versus a tough defense.

Jermaine Gresham caught two passes for 16 yards in Sunday’s loss to the Eagles.
He took a couple low shots on his receptions, and was slow to get up on the second, but he seemed frustrated more than anything else. Gresham isn’t a fantasy option for next week against the Bucs.

Shane Vereen gets nine touches in Week 5.
Vereen carried five times for 18 yards and caught four passes for 27 yards against the Chargers. With Odell Beckham Jr. out for a while with a fractured ankle, Vereen could see more targets in the passing game. He’s worth a pickup if available in PPR leagues.

John Brown scores team’s only touchdown in Week 5 loss to the Eagles.
It was a 13-yarder in the second quarter where he beat Jalen Mills and snatched a nice ball from Carson Palmer. Brown finished with two catches for 26 yards and the touchdown. It was a dream spot for “Smokey” against the league’s slowest cornerback group, but he had to play defensive back on a couple occasions as Palmer was forced to throw it up with pass rushers closing in. Besides the score, the good news is that Brown stayed healthy. He’s worth a spot in lineups whenever he’s on the field, including next week against Tampa Bay.

Wayne Gallman gets 16 touches in Week 5.
The rookie running back had 11 carries for 57 yards and caught all five targets for 25 yards versus the Chargers. Gallman continues to impress as an all-around back that runs hard, and he showed his running ability throughout the game. Gallman could emerge as a solid RB2 for the rest of the season if the Giants commit to giving him the ball, but he has a very difficult matchup against Denver in Week 6.

Jaron Brown caught three passes for 39 yards in Sunday’s loss to Philadelphia.
Brown was in a great spot, but Carson Palmer didn’t have time to look outside with pass rushers bearing down on him all game. He should remain the team’s #2 receiver for next week against the Bucs, making him worth a look as a FLEX option.
10/9/17 - 12:49 PM ET
Orleans Darkwa scores in Week 5 loss.
Darkwa played well against the Chargers, carrying eight times for 69 yards with a 23-yard touchdown. He also had a three-yard reception. Darkwa’s touchdown was on a nice run from the shotgun, but he didn’t get much work after that and might be battling his back issues still. He would be a decent pickup with the Giants likely to go more run-heavy after the injuries to their receivers, but his health is a question mark and could allow rookie Wayne Gallman to run away with most of the carries.
