Paul Perkins | Free Agent RB

Paul Perkins (ribs) is out for Week 5.

Perkins wasn’t able to practice this week and Giants head coach Ben McAdoo ruled him out. This might mean rookie Wayne Gallman—who was very impressive last week—will start for the Giants and play a lot. But Orleans Darkwa (back) is also in the mix. Perkins will try to get healthy for next Sunday night against the Broncos in Week 6.

Jacob Hollister | Free Agent TE

Jacob Hollister gets one target in Week 5.

With Gronk out, the rookie tight end did receive a target while Dwayne Allen did not, but he didn’t become an immediate focus of the passing game. Hopefully Gronkowski won’t miss any more games this season, but it’d be difficult to trust Hollister or Allen in fantasy lineups if he does miss more time.

10/6/17 - 09:23 AM ET

Dwayne Allen | Free Agent TE

Dwayne Allen was not targeted in Week 5.

Even with Rob Gronkowski out, Allen was not featured as a receiver against the Bucs. He was used mainly as a blocker, as Tom Brady looked to his wide receivers more with Gronk out. Allen is a real-life contributor for New England, but he’s not a recommended fantasy option even if Gronkowski is out.

10/6/17 - 09:21 AM ET

O.J. Howard | Free Agent TE

O.J. Howard doesn’t catch a pass in Week 5.

The rookie tight end was targeted in the end zone on the final play of the game, but that was it. Howard isn’t a reliable fantasy option yet, but he’s a good bet to be one in future seasons if not the end of this one.

10/6/17 - 09:19 AM ET

Chris Godwin | Buccaneers WR

Chris Godwin gets two targets in Week 5.

Godwin had one reception for eight yards in the loss to New England. The rookie receiver is an excellent dynasty league roster option, but he’s not getting enough opportunities to make a fantasy impact yet.

10/6/17 - 09:17 AM ET

Jacquizz Rodgers | Free Agent RB

Jacquizz Rodgers gets four touches in Week 5.

Rodgers started the game and received the first carry, but Doug Martin came off the bench in his first game back and brought a lot of juice off the bench. Rodgers ended up with three carries for two yards and one reception for 13 yards. There’s little question Martin will be the guy in the backfield moving forward, so Rodgers is fine to drop in fantasy leagues.

10/6/17 - 09:16 AM ET

Charles Sims | Free Agent RB

Charles Sims catches five passes in Week 5.

Sims gained 31 yards on his five receptions (seven targets) while also getting one carry for three yards. Sims had only three receptions coming into the game, so maybe he’ll be more involved in the passing game moving forward. He’s still not a fantasy option in PPR leagues yet.
