Join now >Derek Carr’s injury is a back injury.
The Raiders quarterback is being called questionable to return. Obviously, a back injury isn’t a good sign, but we just need to hope it isn’t that serious. The Raiders could certainly use Carr down 16-7 in the fourth quarter, but it’d probably be a surprise if he returned to the game. Carr was 10/18 for 143 yards and a touchdown before leaving.

Justin Hardy scores in Week 4 loss.
Hardy caught two passes for 12 yards, including a three-yard score in the fourth quarter to tie the game, but the Bills went on to kick two field goals and upset the Falcons in Atlanta. Hardy saw more playing time due to injuries at wideout, but he can remain on the waiver wire as Atlanta heads into their bye week.

DeShone Kizer struggles again as Browns fall to 0-4.
The second-round rookie quarterback from Notre Dame continues to have trouble, as he was 16/34 for 118 yards and one interception before getting benched in the fourth quarter against he Bengals. Browns head coach Hue Jackson said he’s committed to Kizer as his starter, so we’ll see him out there next week against the Jets. Kizer is currently on pace for 3,056 yards, 12 touchdowns, and 32 interceptions, so hopefully he starts improving as he gets more time.

Colts quarterback Andrew Luck (shoulder) will not practice this week.
Colts head coach Chuck Pagano made the announcement, but it sounds like Luck could practice next week. Considering he probably needs a couple weeks of practice before he can play, it sounds like Week 5 is also out of the equation now, too. Monday night at Tennessee on October 16 for Week 6 looks like it might be the target for Luck’s return, if he is indeed able to practice next week.

Charcandrick West sees four touches in the Chiefs’ win over the Chargers.
West rushed twice for negative-one yard and caught two passes for 14 yards. He will continue to see a handful of touches behind Kareem Hunt, but West isn’t a fantasy option for as long as the rookie is healthy.

Baltimore offense struggles in loss to the Steelers.
Joe Flacco was 31/49 for 235 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions, but despite the poor play, it wasn’t all on him. The team needs much more balance heading into their Week 5 matchup with the Ravens, as the running game was working with 5.5 yards per carry, but the team only ran it 15 times compared to dropping back to throw more than 50 times. Flacco gets a good matchup with Oakland next Sunday, but he’s not a recommended fantasy option until things get straightened out.

Jermaine Gresham gets nine targets in Week 3.
Gresham received a good amount of work after missing Week 2 with a rib injury, catching five passes for 47 yards. Gresham is not a recommended fantasy option at the moment, despite his contributions in real life to his team.
