Join now >Patriots RB Rex Burkhead (ribs) is out for Week 3.
Burkhead didn’t practice all week, so this was expected. The Pats are lucky to have a stacked backfield that includes Mike Gillislee, James White, and Dion Lewis, and received Danny Amdndola is back after missing Week 2 with a concussion. This shouldn’t have a huge effect on Tom Brady, and it could mean a few more touches for the other backs.

Matthew Slater (hamstring) is inactive in Week 3.
The special teams ace is still trying to get healthy from his bad hamstring issue. As expected, TE Rob Gronkowski and WR Danny Amendola are both active against the Texans.

Bengals rookie WR John Ross (knee) is out for Week 3.
This isn’t a great start for Ross, as he also missed Week 1 and will have missed two of the first three games of his NFL career. It’s possible he rushed back to play in last Thursday’s Week 2 contest, so hopefully Ross doesn’t play until he’s fully healed and at 100%. Second-year receiver Tyler Boyd, who was inactive last week, will likely be active again on Sunday now that Ross is out.
9/22/17 - 04:21 PM ET
Sammie Coates (hamstring) is out for Week 3.
Coates was listed as doubtful, so this isn’t a surprise. With Corey Coleman (hand) already out, the Browns will rely on some of their unexperienced young guys against the Colts.
9/24/17 - 11:36 AM ET
Melvin Gordon (knee) is questionable for Week 3.
Despite missing practice on Wednesday and participating on a limited basis yesterday and today, Gordon is expected to play in the game. You should have your RB1 for the game, but be sure to have someone else ready to plug into the lineup in the event of Gordon being inactive against the Chiefs.
9/22/17 - 04:02 PM ET
Jeremy Maclin clears concussion protocol.
Maclin is back for the second half against the Jaguars, with his team down 23-0. The Ravens could be passes a lot down the stretch here.
9/24/17 - 11:14 AM ET
Jordy Nelson (quadricep) is listed as questionable for Week 3.
Nelson was a full participant in practice all week and should be ready to go for Sunday against Cincinnati. However, you should have backup plans in case Nelson is unable to go for the 4:25 PM ET game, which seemingly would only happen if he suffers a setback in warmups.
