DeValve is now averaging 17.2 yards per reception through two games. The Princeton graduate gets the Colts next, and another solid performance will put him on the radar for those in deeper leagues or fantasy owners desperate at tight end.

Rashard Higgins leads Browns in receiving on Sunday.
Higgins caught seven passes for 95 yards against a tough Baltimore defense. He also rushed once for four yards. Recently promoted to the active roster, Higgins showed he really wants to stick around, as he was the main source of offense for Cleveland. With Corey Coleman potentially out multiple weeks with a broken hand and Kenny Britt looking like a disappointment after two games, Higgins might be worth a look in fantasy leagues. The Colts are next on the schedule.

Wendell Smallwood gets four touches in Week 2.
The second-year back had three carries for four yards and one reception for -3 yards. Darren Sproles (ten carries, two receptions) handled most of the work in the backfield for the Eagles, but Smallwood was at least ahead of LeGarrette Blount, who had zero carries in the game. Smallwood is just a bench hold you have to hope starts getting 12-15+ carries per game this season.

LeGarrette Blount did not get a carry in Week 2.
The 6’0″ hammer didn’t get an opportunity to do damage against the Chiefs, as the Eagles went to a pass-heavy gameplan and did not get Blount involved. Blount had one reception for zero yards on his only touch of the game. Meanwhile, Darren Sproles carries ten times while Wendell Smallwood carried three times. The use of running backs can change week-to-week, but it’s very difficult to trust Blount in your fantasy lineup right now.

Rookie receiver Chad Williams is making his NFL debut today.
With John Brown (quad) inactive for the Cardinals, the third-round rookie is playing after being a healthy scratch in Week 1. He’s a talented player that is a strong hold in dynasty leagues and worth keeping an eye on in re-draft leagues. Even in a good matchup against the Colts this week, Williams is a risky option in your fantasy lineup.

Darren Sproles leads Eagles in carries in Week 2.
Not including Carson Wentz’s four rushes, the Eagles only ran the ball 13 times against the Chiefs—and Sproles got ten of them. He had 48 yards on his ten attempts while also adding two receptions (on four targets) for 30 yards. Sproles did also lose a fumble on a punt return after making a couple of guys miss. The 34-year-old back looks quick as ever, and Philadelphia will likely continue to get the ball in his hands this season. He’s a fine FLEX option in PPR leagues next week against the Giants.

Jordan Howard (shoulder) is active for the Bears in Week 2.
This was the expectation and it’s now official. Maybe dynamic rookie Tarik Cohen will get some more work, but Howard should get plenty of touches if he’s active for the game. He should be in your lineup as an RB1.
