Jay Cutler | Free Agent QB

The Dolphins plan to run a no-huddle offense, according the Miami Herald’s Armando Salguero.

Dolphins receiver Jarvis Landry and offensive coordinator Clyde Christensen both talked about the team wanting to run up tempo. Salguero notes Miami wanted to run no huddle last season, but the offense struggled with it and kept putting the defense on the field too quickly after not being able to move the ball. Salguero also identifies Jay Cutler as a big reason the can run the no huddle this year, citing Christensen saying, “I think probably the thing that surprised me is how natural he is with the no-huddle stuff.” If you remember, Gase was in tandem with Peyton Manning in running the record-breaking Broncos offense in 2013 (and 2014). Of course, the Dolphins will likely shy away from the no huddle of they struggle with it, but look for them to come right out and run it this Sunday against the Chargers. The no huddle would be a big boost for everyone on the offense, and Jay Cutler might become a legit QB1 if commanding an up-tempo, high-scoring offense.

Odell Beckham Jr. | Free Agent WR

The Giants believe there’s a “good chance” Odell Beckham Jr. plays tomorrow night, according to Adam Schefter.

It’s going to be a game-time decision, but things appear to be trending in the right direction. Those in a bind can probably insert Beckham in their lineup and hope he plays tomorrow night, but there is some risk—both because he could be used as more of a decoy and because he could just be inactive. We expect him to play and be fine against the Lions, despite his talk of the injury being a 6-8 week one.

Jaelen Strong | Free Agent WR

Jaelen Strong was not targeted in Week 2.

It was strong’s first game back from his one-game suspension, but he didn’t play much in the game. The only play Strong was really noticeable was on Deshaun Watson’s 49-yard touchdown run, but Strong deserves a lot of credit for holding his block toward the end of the run to help spring Watson to the end zone. Running back Tyler Ervin appeared to be running ahead of Strong at receiver, which isn’t a great sign for him. Despite his upside as a big receiver, he should be left on the waiver wire.

Jermaine Gresham | Free Agent TE

Jermaine Gresham (ribs) is inactive for Week 1.

Gresham did not practice all week and was listed as questionable, but he’s officially out for the game against Indy. He wasn’t a recommended fantasy option anyway, but he’s a loss for the Cardinals.

Alex Erickson | Patriots WR

Alex Erickon flashes in Bengals’ Week 2 loss.

The former Wisconsin Badger caught four of six targets for 62 yards against the Texans, including a long of 37 yards. Erickson played well on offense in the absence of Tyler Boyd, but he also made an impact on special teams and showed his speed and quickness there. He returned two kicked for 76 yards and four punts for 57 yards. Erickson is not an recommended fantasy option right now.

Sam Bradford | Free Agent QB

Vikings believe Sam Bradford will only miss one week, according to Ian Rapoport.

This would obviously be great for the Vikings, but it’s certainly no lock given Bradford didn’t look great while warming up today. He should be considered questionable for Week 3 against Tampa Bay.

Brandon LaFell | Free Agent WR

Brandon Lafell catches four passes for 30 yards in Week 2.

Cincinnati’s number two receiver was targeted seven times, second behind A.J. Green. He’s more of a real-life contributor than he is a fantasy contributor at the moment.
