After a great third week of the preseason, the offense could not have looked much different to open the regular season. Carolina didn’t make things easy, though, as they were flying around the field. Brian Hoyer was 24/35 for 193 yards, an interception, and a lost fumble. The INT was on a throw over the middle where he just didn’t see Luke Kuechly dropping in coverage. Things probably won’t get much easier next week against Seattle.

Tyreek Hill goes over 100 yards in Week 1 win against the Patriots.
Hill and the Chiefs came out hot to kickoff the NFL season, as they had a superb offensive showing versus the defending champs. Hill had seven receptions for 133 yards and a touchdown, while adding five yards on a couple carries. The touchdown for the second-year receiver was a 75-yarder that Alex Smith put right on Hill when he got behind the defense. Kansas City is going to try and get their insanely fast receiver the ball this season, and it’ll be no different next week against Philadelphia. The Eagles corners might have a ton of trouble containing Hill, who should be a top-ten option for Week 2.

Cooper Kupp caught four passes for 76 yards and one touchdown in his NFL debut.
Kupp made a spectacular one-handed, juggling catch in the second quarter and then scored an 18-yard touchdown from the slot. He also made a nice leaping grab in the fourth quarter. The rookie definitely showed he is ready to make a year-one impact in the NFL, and he needs to be picked up in all PPR leagues. The Rams play the Redskins in Week 2.

Will Tye catches all three targets in Week 1.
The new Jets tight end had 34 yards on his three receptions. He was a reliable target for Josh McCown and lined up as more than just a tight end in the game. The Jets play the Raiders, who are vulnerable against tight ends, next week, so Tye has some sleeper appeal. There are probably better options for your Week 2 fantasy lineup, though.
9/11/17 - 10:02 AM ET
Lance Kendricks catches two passes in Week 1.
Kendricks had 18 yards on his two receptions. He’s going to have a role at the tight end position alongside Marcellus Bennett, but he’ll help the Packers more than your fantasy team.
9/11/17 - 02:14 PM ET
Kareem Hunt goes off in first career game.
Things started off about as bad as possible for the rookie running back, as he lost a fumbled on his first carry after never losing a carry (and only fumbling once) in four years at Toledo. Hunt quickly put the play behind him and balled the rest of the game in a Chiefs’ upset. He had 17 carries for 148 yards and one rush touchdown along with five receptions for 98 yards and two receiving touchdowns. Hunt gashed through New England’s defense and picked up positive yardage on almost every carry, while he showed he can be a real weapon out of the backfield when he caught a 78-yard touchdown on a deep seam-type route out of the backfield that’s become a common route for running backs in Kansas City under Andy Reid. Charcandrick West only received one carry (which he scored on) behind Hunt, so it appears the rookie will be a true workhorse and an RB1 in all fantasy leagues.
9/8/17 - 12:30 AM ET
Martellus Bennett catches three passes in Week 1.
Bennett had 43 yards (on six targets) against the Seahawks. He did get a personal foul late in the game when he took exception to what he deemed an unnecessary hit to Aaron Rodgers, which could earn him some bonus points from his new quarterback. We’re not sure Bennett offers a ton of upside with the Packers, but he might have a solid floor. He gets the Falcons next week.
