Join now >The Buccaneers signed quarterback Ryan Griffin to a one-year extension.
If you’ve been watching HBO’s ‘Hard Knocks,’ you know Griffin currently has a shoulder sprain that’s kept him out for a few weeks. But Tampa Bay likes Griffin and is extending him through 2018, so he’ll continue to be one of the backups behind Jameis Winston. Griffin might be the primary backup over veteran Ryan Fitzpatrick when he returns from his shoulder injury.

Vernon Davis catches two passes for 21 yards in the Redskins’ third preseason game.
Both of Davis’ targets in the exhibition versus the Bengals were caught. He’s going to be more involved in Washington’s offense than most backup tight ends are in their offenses. Davis will put up some good weeks, but it’s tough to trust him in your lineup unless Jordan Reed were to miss time.

Ezekiel Elliott’s appeal is scheduled to last through Thursday, according to Adam Schefter.
The appeal hearing started today and reportedly went for ten hours, so it’s going to be a long hearing if it does indeed go through Thursday. Elliott missed practice yesterday and today to get ready and to attend the hearing, and he is expected to be in attendance at the hearing both tomorrow and Thursday. He insists he did nothing wrong and is fighting to get his six-game suspension wiped out. Comically, many people under Adam Schefter’s tweet reported the news of the hearing scheduled to go until Thursday were complaining about having fantasy football drafts coming up. With the hearing going until Thursday, it appears unlikely there will be a decision before the vast majority of fantasy drafts are completed. Elliott is still a risky pick in the first or second round of fantasy drafts, despite the possibility he doesn’t serve a suspension in 2017.

Jamison Crowder catches two passes for 24 yards in Redskins’ preseason game.
Crowder had 24 yards on his two receptions, but he did drop a curl route in the third quarter of the exhibition against the Bengals. The third-year receiver is looking to continue progressing and emerge as the top target at receiver for Kirk Cousins.

Rookie Corey Davis returns to Titans practice.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported yesterday Davis is expected to play in Week 1, and this is right in line with that. Titans head coach Mike Mularkey said “the plan” is to have Davis out there for the opening game. The fifth overall pick in the draft has a few practices to work his way back and with the first-team offense. Davis might not have a huge early-season impact after missing so much time, but he’s still an upside fantasy selection late in drafts.

Jordan Reed makes 2017 preseason debut.
After missing most of the preseason with a toe injury, Reed—who was recently taken off the PUP—played in the Redskins’ third preseason game against the Bengals. He had two receptions for 12 yards, but the most important thing was to see him out there and healthy. Reed offers a lot of upside and is worth a selection as one of the top tight ends in all fantasy drafts.

Eric Decker is back at practice for the Titans.
He’s missed the last two preseason games with an ankle injury, but he returned today to get in some work. Decker is right on track to play in the season opener, and he’ll likely be in the starting lineup (if the Titans list their top three receivers as starters). Decker is currently going just inside the top 100 in fantasy drafts, which is fair value for him.
