Join now >DeMarco Murray dominates first-team work in Sunday’s preseason game.
Murray rushed six times for 16 yards and caught a negative-three-yard pass, playing clearly ahead of Derrick Henry before leaving the game. It was a little surprising to see Murray so clearly ahead of the talented second-year back, and we thought maybe Henry might not even be playing after getting a lot of work in last week’s game, but he eventually came in and played into the second half. Murray looks like a solid RB1.

Michael Floyd catches one pass in the Vikings’ third preseason game.
Floyd didn’t play with the starters, but that was to be expected with him out the first four games of the season due to a suspension. He had a ten-yard reception in the exhibition versus the Niners, and that was it. Floyd will probably be out there for the team’s final preseason game on Thursday night so he can get some more work before his suspension.

Mike Glennon plays great in Bears’ third preseason game.
Glennon was 11/18 for 134 yards and one touchdown in the exhibition versus the Titans. With rookie Mitchell Trubisky coming on strong, the pressure was on for Glennon today and he answered with a very solid performance. Glennon threw accurate passes and made good decisions while playing the entire first half. Trubisky is now entering the game in the second half, but Glennon appears to be safe as Chicago’s starter entering Week 1 versus the Falcons. The bad news for Glennon is that he lost his number one receiver Cameron Meredith to a knee injury that certainly looks like will keep him out for an extended period of time and likely the season.

Stefon Diggs catches two-of-five targets in the Vikings’ third preseason game.
Diggs had only six yards on his two receptions versus the 49ers. He did have a drop in the game, but the Vikings struggled as a whole offensively, starting with the offensive line. Diggs’ preseason is likely over, as the focus shifts to the Week 1 matchup against the Saints on Monday Night Football in a couple weeks. After he had an excellent finish to last season, Diggs does have some upside as he’s going around WR30 in most fantasy drafts and could provide great value there.

Devonta Freeman will return to Falcons practice tomorrow.
Freeman, who missed the last two preseason games with a concussion, will start to do individual work as the team prepares him for Week 1. There’s not much concern for Freeman’s status in that opening game, so expect to see him out there against Chicago on September 10. Freeman is a first/second round pick in fantasy leagues and should get another big workload this season after the Falcons gave him a huge contract a few weeks ago.

Laquon Treadwell makes 2017 preseason debut.
The second-year receiver missed the Vikings’ first two preseason games while dealing with a leg injury, but he was back out there against the 49ers. Treadwell started the game with Stefon Diggs and Adam Thielen, and he caught three-of-three targets for 36 yards. It’s possible he plays in the team’s fourth preseason game on Thursday, but he’ll probably be held out. The 2016 first-round is not getting drafted in fantasy leagues, but he could become a great waiver wire pickup this season.

Cameron Meredith leaves Bears’ third preseason game with apparent knee injury.
Meredith caught an in-breaking route in the first quarter of Chicago’s exhibition against the Titans, and he had his knee rolled up and it looks like a very severe injury. His knee moved unnaturally in one of the most gruesome injuries you will see—FOX opted against showing the replay when they returned to the game broadcast. Meredith’s knee was put in an air cast and he was carted off the field. There could be some good news and it might be early to speculate, but it looks like the third-year receiver will certainly be out for the season—if not longer—with this injury. Everyone should feel for Meredith, as the 2015 undrafted free agent worked his way to becoming the Bears’ number one receiver and was looking to continue his ascension in 2017.
