Join now >Kelvin Benjamin draws praise from the Panthers for his preseason play.
Though he entered OTAs overweight, the 6’5″ receiver looks far from overweight or out of shape right now. Benjamin caught eight passes for 107 yards and two touchdowns in his limited action this preseason, despite only playing one series with Cam Newton through the three preseason games. Newton said Benjamin has had “an unbelievable training camp.” Head coach Ron Rivera said Benjamin is playing “very, very physical” and “he’s running really good routes, he’s a great target, and he presents a good target to the quarterback.” Benjamin’s weight looks like a thing of the past at this point.

Nelson Agholor didn’t get targeted in the Eagles’ Week 3 preseason game.
The Eagles decided to play their starters for only one quarter, despite the plan being to play them for at least the first half. Carson Wentz threw ten passes, but none went Agholor’s way. The good news for Agholor is he exited the game with the rest of the starters after the first quarter, so he’s clearly locked in as a top three receiver entering the season. Agholor is going undrafted in fantasy leagues, but there’s some breakout potential there for the talented former first-round pick from USC.

Jonathan Grimes scores in preseason game for the Jaguars.
The sixth-year back had three carries for 13 yards and a touchdown while adding a six-yard reception. The touchdown could’ve tied the game with the extra point, but Jacksonville went for two to try and take the lead late in the fourth quarter. Grimes is a versatile back that played pretty well when given opportunities the last few seasons with the Texans, but he’s probably on the outside looking in for a roster spot in Jacksonville.

Trey Burton catches four passes for 43 yards in Week 3 of the preseason.
The versatile Eagles tight end worked with the second team mostly. He’ll be a contributor on offense this season, but he probably won’t do enough to warrant a fantasy roster spot in 2017.

Mack Hollins plays well in third preseason game.
The fourth-round rookie from North Carolina had five receptions for 44 yards in the exhibition against the Dolphins. He didn’t do anything too flashy, but his athleticism is clear. Hollins will be a core special teams player for the Eagles in 2017, and he could contribute some on offense too.

Jakeem Grant breaks long touchdown in Dolphins’ third preseason game.
Grant had only one catch in the game, and he made the most of it, catching a quick post and breaking a tackle before darting 69 yards for a touchdown. It was surprising to see the small receiver brush off a tackle like that, and once he did, no one was going to catch him with his great speed. Grant will almost certainly make the Dolphins, and he’ll likely be their primary punt returner.

Keelan Cole starts Week 3 of the preseason for Jacksonville.
With Marqise Lee (high ankle sprain) out for the exhibition against Carolina, Cole got an opportunity as a starter in the game. The undrafted rookie receiver had only one reception for four yards, and he did drop a perfect throw on a deep ball from Chad Henne. It was Cole’s second big drop in two preseason games, but at least he’s getting open. Cole will probably make the final roster for the Jaguars, and there will be other teams interested in claiming him if not.
