Hurns played into the second half with Blake Bortles. One pass intended for him was intercepted, but Hurns made a great effort to run down the field and try to make a tackle. There have been some trade rumors about Hurns in recent days, and we’ll see if anything comes of that before the season. Hurns would probably have more fantasy value outside of Jacksonville.

Shane Wynn catches touchdown in Jaguars’ third preseason game.
The 2015 undrafted receiver out of Indiana had three receptions for 32 yards, including a four-yard touchdown from Blake Bortles in the fourth quarter of the exhibition against Carolina. Wynn is battling for a roster spot in a deep Jaguars receiving group.

Corey Grant gains 58 yards in Week 3 of the preseason.
The Jaguars actually ran a fake punt, which Grant took right up the middle for a gain of 51 yards. Grant couldn’t get much going besides that, carrying ten times for 58 yards total. It’d be a surprise if Grant is not on the Jaguars final roster, but he’s unlikely to have much fantasy value while he’s buried on the depth chart.

Brandon Allen throws five passes in Jaguars’ third preseason game.
It doesn’t look like Allen is being considered for the starting job, as he didn’t enter the game until late in the fourth quarter after Chad Henne and Blake Bortles. Allen was 1/5 for 22 yards in the exhibition versus the Panthers. Don’t count out the second-year quarterback making some starts this season even though he won’t be under center in Week 1.

Greg Olsen grabs two passes in Panthers’ third preseason game.
Olsen didn’t get a target in quarterback Cam Newton’s one series, but Newton only threw two passes. Olsen had two receptions for 14 yards from Derek Anderson. As a consensus top-five fantasy tight end, Olsen is going for his fourth straight 1,000-yard season (he is already the only tight end in NFL history with three straight).

Curtis Samuel makes NFL preseason debut.
The Panthers rookie receiver played in the Week 3 preseason exhibition against Jacksonville, catching four passes for 15 yards. The game was the former Ohio State Buckeye’s first, as he missed most of the preseason with a hamstring injury. It looks like the Panthers are going to attempt to get the ball into Samuel’s hands, which should add another element to the offense. Samuel is going undrafted in fantasy leagues, but he could deliver some PPR value as a rookie.

Devin Funchess catches two passes for 14 yards in third preseason game.
The third-year receiver could still play in the Panthers’ final preseason game, but he probably will not. Funchess was a popular breakout pick last season, but he’s not getting drafted this season. Given the additions of rookies Christian McCaffrey and Curtis Samuel, it’s probably right that Funchess doesn’t get drafted in fantasy leagues. He’ll likely help the Panthers more in real life than he’ll help your fantasy team.
