Malone had 35 yards on his three receptions. The rookie receiver out of Tennessee will almost certainly be on the roster spot, but he might struggle to get a ton of playing time in 2017. There are better late round targets in standard 10- and 12-team leagues than Malone.

Jordy Nelson caught two passes for 19 yards in his first preseason action since 2015.
We were very surprised when Nelson was out there last night because he tore his ACL two years ago in the preseason, but Green Bay played all their healthy guys against Washington. Jordy broke a Josh Norman tackle on his second reception, and he lined up all over the field, including in the slot on the same side as Martellus Bennett for his touchdown catch. With an ADP of 13th overall, Nelson is undervalued right now.

A.J. Green gets targeted six times in exhibition against the Chiefs.
The Bengals star receiver had the most targets of anyone in his limited action in the Week 2 preseason game. Green caught three passes for 39 yards, including a long of 22 yards. He and the Bengals get the Redskins next Sunday in what will likely be the final preseason game for the starters before the regular season.

Alex Erickson catches all three targets in Week 2 preseason game.
The second-year undrafted receiver had three receptions for 43 yards against the Chiefs. Erickson did also have the long pass of the night for Cincinnati, a 31-yarder from A.J. McCarron. Erickson is definitely in the mix for a roster spot, though he’s unlikely to deliver 2017 fantasy value.

Tyler Boyd leads Bengals in receiving in Week 2 of the preseason.
The second-year receiver from Pitt caught both of his targets for 45 yards. Despite the additions to the receiving group, Boyd will have a role in 2017. There are probably better selections at the very end of fantasy drafts, though.

Joe Mixon gets seven touches in second preseason game.
The second-round rookie had six carries for only 16 yards, but he added a 15-yard reception on his lone target of the game. He was still behind starter Jeremy Hill, but Mixon will be getting a good amount of playing time as a rookie regardless if he starts. We’ll see how the workload is split in the team’s third preseason game next Sunday against the Redskins.
