Join now >Chris Ivory can’t get anything going on the ground in Week 2 of the preseason.
Ivory had an opportunity to do some damage with Leonard Fournette (foot) out of the game and T.J. Yeldon (hamstring) leaving the game, but there weren’t many holes for him and he had seven carries for only four yards. He did also add two receptions for 14 yards, including a long of 17. With Fournette and Yeldon both likely questionable at best for next Thursday’s preseason dress rehearsal, Ivory will look to show he can lead the backfield.

Damien Williams gets five touches in Week 2 of the preseason.
Williams entered the game after Jay Ajayi played a couple of series. He had four carries for 11 yards and one reception for three yards. Williams didn’t really do much to separate himself from Kenyan Drake, who was out with a concussion, but both Williams and Drake are pretty much roster locks and will mix in behind Ajayi this season.

Jared Goff was 3/4 for 34 yards in Saturday’s preseason opener.
Goff essentially had 1.5 series, as the Rams recovered a fumble on a punt and gave the first-team offense a chance to stay on the field. Last year’s #1 overall pick looked good in Sean McVay’s offense, including the scoring play that was a perfectly thrown ball to Robert Woods that he caught and fumbled into the end zone, allowing rookie wide receiver Cooper Kupp to recover it for the touchdown. Hopefully we see more of Goff next week, and maybe he will have new weapon Sammy Watkins in uniform.

Broncos rookie receiver Carlos Henderson is getting thumb surgery, according to Mike Klis.
Mike Klis of 9News says there is no timetable but that Henderson will be “out a while.” Henderson was looking like he might be the third receiver behind Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders, but now others will look to step up. Fellow rookie Isaiah McKenzie, who had a good preseason game last night, might be able to seize the role.

Donnel Pumphrey plays behind Corey Clement in team’s second preseason game.
Pumphrey rushed three times for negative-three yards, but did catch two passes for 20 yards, showing the ability to make the first defender miss on the perimeter. Corey Clement seems to be in line for work behind LeGarrette Blount, and Pumphrey appears to be blocked by Darren Sproles (who hasn’t played this preseason) for a passing-down role. He will likely have to wait until 2018 to be a fantasy factor.

Seth Roberts catches both targets in Week 1 of the preseason.
He had two receptions for 15 yards in his short time in the game. Roberts will mix in behind Amari Cooper and Michael Crabtree again this season.

Jordan Howard will not play in the Bears’ second preseason game.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Howard suffered a corneal abrasion in the team’s walkthrough today and didn’t travel to Arizona for their exhibition game. A corneal abrasion is basically just a scratched eye, so while it’s probably hurting and bothering Howard right now, he should be fine. It’s not a big deal that Howard will miss the game, and Chicago’s offensive centerpiece might play in the Bears’ dress rehearsal third preseason game on Thursday.
