Derrick Henry gets nine touches in Week 1 of the preseason.

DeMarco Murray did not play, so Henry started the game and played into the second quarter. He had eight carries for 29 yards and one reception for no yards. Henry picked up some solid yardage on his first couple of carries with the first-team, but struggled to find much running room after that.

Jay Cutler: DeVante Parker is “kind of a faster Alshon, a little bit.”

Of course, Cutler is talking about Alshon Jeffery, his former teammate for five seasons with the Bears. Considering Jeffery put up 89/1,421/7 and 85/1,133/10 lines in two of the seasons in Chicago, it’s quite the compliment for Parker. The hype for the third-year receiver has been about as high as possible for the last few months, and Cutler’s presence should help vault him forward. If he stays healthy, it’d be a major surprise if Parker doesn’t reach 1,000 yards for the first time in his career in 2017.

Zach Ertz caught an 11-yard pass in the Eagles’ second preseason game.

Ertz and the first-team offense had three drives to get something going, but could only get a first down on the final one, which ended on a LeGarrette Blount fumble. The offense will try to get some momentum heading into the regular season with a tune up next week against Miami.

Larry Donnell catches touchdown in Week 2 of the preseason.

Donnell caught the touchdown from Ryan Mallett from one-yard out. Baltimore’s tight ends performed well against Miami—something that will rally help Joe Flacco (or Ryan Mallett) if they can keep it up.

Benjamin Watson catches lone target in Thursday’s exhibition game.

The Ravens tight end had one reception for 11 yards. It was Watson’s first game action since he tore his Achilles last preseason, so it’s great to see him out there and healthy. Watson and the Ravens play the Bills in their dress rehearsal preseason game next week.

Clive Walford leads Oakland in receiving in opening preseason game.

Walford caught all three of his targets for 44 yards against the Cardinals. Jared Cook is taking over as the starting tight end for the Raiders, but Walford will certainly have a role on the team—though it will probably be tough for him to be a fantasy factor.

Noah Brown caught three passes for 41 yards in Saturday night’s game against the Rams.

Brown will need Dallas to keep six wideouts to make Cowboys, but he will 100% be on an NFL team—practice squad at the very least—having just turned 20-years-old less than a month ago. Brown is an intriguing name to watch in dynasty leagues.
