Not a bad debut for the rookie, who caught his touchdown in the fourth quarter. It was his only reception of the game, but he made it count. McKenzie is looking to be a year-one contributor to the Broncos.

Second-year QB Brandon Allen plays well in preseason opener.
Allen was 5/7 for 85 yards and a touchdown. Rookie Dede Westbrook got wide open for a 42-yard touchdown, which was an easy throw for Allen, but he still put it right on the money. Allen can certainly throw the ball, and he’s locked in as Jacksonville’s number three quarterback for 2017.

Jordan Taylor catches three passes in preseason game.
Taylor had 23 yards on his three receptions, including a long of 14 yards. Taylor is in the mix for the third receiver spot on the Broncos, or he could be left off the team. His performance throughout the preseason and in practice will be big factors in him making the team.

West impressive in Ravens’ preseason win.
The 26-year-old rushed five times for 23 yards and one touchdown as the lead back for Baltimore. Kenneth Dixon’s season-ending injury opened up a big opportunity for West, and he should handle a large chunk of the rushing attempts for the Ravens in the regular season, splitting time with Danny Woodhead. He’ll look to keep it up against Miami next week.

Stevan Ridley carried eight times for 17 yards in preseason debut for Denver.
The former 1,200-yard rusher for New England was wearing the number four, which was quite an odd sight. He couldn’t find much room to run, but he did appear to work as the primary backup behind C.J. Anderson, so maybe he’s been showing well in training camp. Ridley is probably on the bubble to make the final roster.

Chad Henne throws long touchdown in Week 1 of the preseason.
Henne was 5/6 for 139 yards and a 99-yard touchdown to undrafted rookie Keenan Cole. The ten-year veteran will backup Blake Bortles this season.

De’Angelo Henderson breaks long touchdown in NFL preseason debut.
The rookie back out of Coastal Carolina had seven carries for 54 yards, including a 41-yard touchdown where he showed off his speed. Henderson certainly looks impressive, and it’s looking like he should be a member of the Broncos’ final roster this season.
