Join now >Quick leads the team in catches for preseason opener.
The 28-year-old caught three passes for 20 yards as the Redskins struggled to move the ball. Quick has shown flashes in the past, and he would be in a good spot if he can earn a backup role with Washington, which he should be on track to do.

Kenyan Drake carries four times for 21 yards in preseason opener.
Miami’s second-year back will mix in with Damien Williams for work behind Jay Ajayi this season. Drake could also return kicks.

Matt Jones rushed three times for negative-one yards in last night’s preseason opener.
Jones did catch a 17-yard pass, but he appears to be not-for-long in Washington. The former third-round pick should quickly find another job if/when he is in another city, and we will get a better picture on his fantasy prospects then.

Thompson rushed twice for 10 yards in Thursday night’s game against the Ravens.
He didn’t catch a pass, and both rushes went for five yards. Thompson is locked into a receiving role behind Rob Kelley, but he won’t have much fantasy value in standard leagues.
8/11/17 - 11:35 AM ET
Mack Brown rushed four times for 13 yards in Thursday night’s loss to Baltimore.
The coaching staff has been impressed by Brown in training camp, but he didn’t really have a chance to get in a rhythm with the overall offensive struggles for Washington. Brown could start the season as Rob Kelley’s backup if Samaje Perine isn’t better over the next few weeks.

Rookie quarterback Brandon Doughty throws TD in first preseason game.
Doughty was 7/12 for 69 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. The touchdown came on a nice throw where Leonte Carroo made a great catch after Doughty gave him a chance to make a play. Doughty is competing with David Fales for the #3 job in Miami.

David Fales picks up chunk plays in preseason opener.
The second-year quarterback was 8/17 for 184 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception. Both of his touchdowns, including a 99-yarder which was a dime of a throw, came in the fourth quarter, so he might be behind Brandon Doughty as of now. But he has a chance to be the third quarterback if he keeps it up.
