Josh Hill caught a one-yard pass in Thursday night’s preseason game.

Hill isn’t projected to be a fantasy contributor with Coby Fleener healthy, but we have seen Sean Payton change things up at the position before. New Orleans plays the Chargers next.

Thomas catches two passes for 17 yards in preseason opener.

The Saints top receiver was without his quarterback in the exhibition, but he still played a little with Chase Daniel. Thomas will probably see more action next game against the Chargers before the regular season dress rehearsal in the third preseason game.

Greg Ward Jr. catches four passes in preseason debut.

The converted Houston quarterback has been impressing as a receiver and looked like one out there, despite only having 12 yards on his four receptions. If Ward doesn’t make the final roster, he’s a definite practice squad candidate.

Brandon Coleman caught three passes for 23 yards in Thursday night’s preseason game.

Coleman got work into the second half, but his roster spot should be safe as a big-bodied backup. New Orleans will play the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 2 of the preseason.

Trey Burton fumbles in opening preseason game.

The Eagles tight end is wearing a new number (#88, he was previously #47) if you didn’t notice him. Burton had three receptions for 19 yards, but he did fumble because he was holding the ball carelessly on one of his catches. Still, the versatile tight end looked athletic as usual, and he’s looking to be the number two tight end behind Zach Ertz this season.

Tommylee Lewis explodes in preseason opener.

Lewis caught 10 passes for 124 yards, including a beautiful, diving touchdown. The Saints top-three receivers are set with Michael Thomas, Willie Snead, and Ted Ginn, but Tommylee will force his way onto the field if he keeps playing like he did last night.

Rookie receiver Shelton Gibson catches two passes for the Eagles in Week 1 of the preseason.

Gibson had 12 yards on his two receptions. The deep threat out of West Virginia also had a chance on a deep ball that was slightly underthrown, but he couldn’t come up with it as two defenders were on him. Despite being a fifth-round pick this year, Gibson isn’t a lock to make the Eagles roster.
