Ben Roethlisberger dealing with apparent knee issue.

[UPDATE: Pittsburgh got the ball back off a turnover with under a minute remaining in the first half, and Roethlisberger is not in the game.] Roethlisberger took a hit to the knee on a touchdown drive for the Steelers, but he remained in the game (while clearly hobbled) and led a fantastic drive for seven points. There’s just about a minute remaining in the first half, and Big Ben is now headed to the locker room to get looked at early. Roethlisberger is clearly limping pretty badly, but hopefully this isn’t too serious and he can return in the second half.

Preston Williams leaves game with foot injury.

Williams was apparently injured on his acrobatic touchdown reception, and now he unfortunately is getting carted to the locker room with his cleats off. Before leaving, Williams was having a strong afternoon with four receptions for 60 yards and a touchdown.

Justin Jackson (knee) has returned for the Chargers.

Jackson missed most of the first half with his knee issue, but he’s back in the game with under two minutes remaining in the first half.

Justin Jackson (knee) is officially questionable to return for the Chargers.

Jackson had been practicing fully with his knee issue, but it appears to be bothering him again assuming it’s the same knee. Hopefully Jackson is able to return to the game soon, but we’ll update you when more information becomes available on his status.

David Montgomery is being evaluated for a concussion.

Montgomery probably won’t return in the final two minutes, so his game would end with 14 caddies for 30 yards and three receptions for 12 yards (plus a lost fumble). Chicago is obviously very thin at running back if Montgomery were to miss next week’s game against Minnesota.

Ezekiel Elliott (hamstring) is officially active for Week 9.

There was some concern regarding Elliott’s status yesterday, but he’s good to go for today against the Steelers. Zeke is one of the most durable players in the league and should get close his usual workload, assuming the game does not too far out of hand for the Cowboys.

Jack Doyle (concussion) has been ruled out for the rest of today’s game.

Doyle headed to the locker room at the end of the first half following a big hit, and he’s now been ruled out for the game. Hopefully the veteran tight end is feeling better soon.
