Duke Johnson (knee) is officially listed as questionable for Sunday.

Despite suffering a sprained knee in the season opener just over a week ago, Johnson was able to practice on a limited basis all week and has a shot to play in Week 2. David Johnson will be the preferred fantasy option in Houston’s backfield.

Brandin Cooks (quad) is officially listed as questionable for Week 2.

This will likely be similar to the season opener when Cooks played despite drawing a questionable tag. That said, Cooks carries extra risk in lineups at less than 100%.

Kenny Golladay (hamstring) is officially out for Week 2.

Golladay was able to get on the practice field and do a little bit today, so he’s trending in the right direction. But he’s going to miss this Sunday’s game against the Packers and should be considered week-to-week for now.

Chris Godwin (concussion) is officially listed as doubtful for Week 2.

Godwin returned to practice in a limited capacity today, but he still has not fully cleared concussion protocol and Bucs head coach Bruce Arians says the star receiver is “doubtful” for Sunday against the Panthers. Godwin is working against the clock to get fully cleared, and his Week 2 status will be known by 11:30 AM ET on Sunday. Ideally, Godwin will be upgraded to questionable tomorrow, which would give him a realistic shot to play this weekend.

The 49ers placed Richie James Jr. (hamstring) on injured reserve.

James was placed on IR to make room for the official signing of veteran receiver Mohamed Sanu. James should be back after three games spent on the COVID-shortened injured reserve.

Golden Tate (hamstring) is officially listed as questionable for Week 2.

Tate looks like a true game-time decision for this Sunday against the Bears, but there seems to be more optimism than there was for his status last Monday night. The veteran receiver will be declared active or inactive by 11:30 AM ET on Sunday.

Michael Pittman Jr. (toe) likely to be a game-time call.

Pittman had an “incident” with his toe in yesterday’s practice, and his Week 2 status is now in question. The good news is the Colts kickoff at 1:00 PM ET on Sunday, so the rookie’s official game status will be known that morning.
