Crowder injured his hamstring in yesterday’s practice, so his Week 2 status is now in doubt. This could be a similar situation to Kenny Golladay with the Lions after he was injured last Wednesday and was unable to play in the season opener. We’ll see how Crowder is listed on the final Week 2 injury report when it’s released tomorrow.

Russell Shepard has announced his retirement from the NFL.
Shepard announced the decision on his 30th birthday, as he will hang up his cleats after seven years in the league. Mostly a contributor on special teams since entering the NFL as an undrafted free agent out of LSU, Shepard caught 60 passes for 847 yards and six touchdowns in career, also adding three carries for 28 yards. We wish Shepard the best in his post-playing career.

Washington is signing Jeff Badet to the practice squad.
Badet is brings a speed element to Washington’s receiving group, and he’ll look to work his way to the active roster. Badet can also contribute on special teams as a returner.

Richie James (hamstring) officially did not practice today.
It’s only Wednesday, but James might have a difficult time getting ready for Sunday’s Week 2 matchup against the Jets. We’ll let you know if he’s able to hit the practice field by Friday.

Brandon Aiyuk is off the injury report.
Despite missing Week 1, Aiyuk’s hamstring injury is in the past, and the first-round rookie receiver will make his NFL debut this Sunday against the Jets. Aiyuk is an upside pickup if available in your league. San Francisco gets both Aiyuk and veteran Mohamed Sanu as boosts to the receiving corps for Week 2.

Jarvis Landry (hip) is officially listed as questionable for Thursday night.
While Landry is getting the questionable tag on a short week, he’s fully expected to be ready to face the Bengals. His official Week 2 active/inactive status will be known by 6:50 PM ET tomorrow.

Golden Tate (hamstring) was officially limited in today’s practice.
Ideally, we’ll see Tate up to a full practice by the end of the week, but he is thought to be close to a return to the field after missing Week 1. We’ll see how he’s listed on the final Week 2 injury report when it’s out on Friday.
