Join now >Golden Tate (hamstring) is officially inactive for Monday night.
The Giants want Tate healthy for the long haul, so he’s out for Week 1 as he looks to get to 100% following the hamstring issue. This could mean more underneath targets for Evan Engram and Saquon Barkley tonight against the Steelers. Tate is not a must-hold in standard-sized leagues.

The Falcons are signing Laquon Treadwell to the practice squad.
Treadwell was with the Falcons during training camp, so this is a good spot for him. The former first-round pick of the Vikings has familiarity with Atlanta already, and he can sit and watch an excellent group of receivers including the all-time great Julio Jones. Treadwell is off the redraft radar until he at least gets promoted to the active roster.

The Titans promoted Nick Westbrook to the active roster.
Westbrook is an undrafted rookie receiver from Indiana, so it’s pretty cool that he’s getting called up to the active roster for Week 1 of his first NFL season. Westbrook is off the redraft radar for now.

The Titans promoted Jeremy McNichols to the active roster.
With rookie Darrynton Evans out, McNichols will help provide depth behind reigning league-leading rusher Derrick Henry tonight against the Broncos.

The Browns placed David Njoku (knee) on injured reserve.
Njoku suffered a knee injury in yesterday’s loss to the Ravens. It’s unfortunate for the athletic former first-round pick, who was off to a nice start to the season with three receptions for 50 yards and a touchdown. Njoku will now miss at least the next three games while on IR, and he does not need to be held in redraft leagues, but the talk is that it’s a minor injury that he should be back from soon.

Le’Veon Bell (hamstring) could miss a couple of weeks.
Head coach Adam Gase said he doesn’t want to put a timetable on it, but Bell is almost certainly going to miss Week 2, and it wouldn’t be a surprise if we don’t see him again until October. New York will rely on Frank Gore as their starter with La’Mical Perine working behind him if healthy.

Michael Thomas is dealing with a high-ankle sprain.
The injury is the worst sprain a player could have, but Thomas is apparently going to play through it. After a quiet opener (three receptions for 17 yards), Thomas unfortunately needs to be downgraded from high-end WR1 status playing at less than 100%. That said, fantasy owners would be hard pressed to take Thomas out of lineups in Week 2—even entering a Monday night showdown that could leave you thin when it comes to replacement options if the game status is up in the air by Sunday.
