Join now >The Giants activated Kadarius Toney from the reserve/COVID-19 list.
Toney was placed on the list over a week ago, and he’s now cleared to return to the team. However, Toney is still dealing with the quad issue and remains uncertain for Week 16.

A.J. Brown is being activated from injured reserve.
Brown will be back in the lineup tonight following a three-game absence with a shoulder injury, and he should immediately be back in the WR1 ranks. The team also has Julio Jones healthy despite leaving last week with a hamstring injury, so Ryan Tannehill’s outlook as a high-end QB2 is certainly boosted. It wouldn’t be a surprise if Brown went off down the stretch similar to what he did in 2020.

Dalvin Cook is being placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
Unless he has a false positive, Cook will miss this weekend’s game versus the Rams, and the star runner is one of a few notable Vikings to apparently be unvaccinated if early-season reports are to be believed—which would likely knock him out of a huge matchup against the Packers in Week 17, too. If so, it’s a brutal break for both Minnesota and fantasy owners, as Cook wouldn’t be able to return until the regular season finale. Alexander Mattison should draw the start against LA this weekend and will be complemented by rookie Kene Nwangwu as a change-of-pace option.

The Saints are starting Ian Book in Week 16.
Taysom Hill and Trevor Siemian are being placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list, leaving Book in line to start for the Saints this Monday night against the Dolphins. It’s a great opportunity for the rookie Book, who has plenty of experience from his time at Notre Dame. The Saints liked Book enough to take him in the fourth round of the 2021 draft, and they’ll be able to get a look at him in game action this week. Book should do a nice job of managing the game, taking care of the ball, and making plays to keep drives going.

Taysom Hill is being placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list, according to multiple reports.
The Saints have a bit of an outbreak, which is not surprising considering just about every team is going through it at this point with the Omicron variant. Rookie quarterback Ian Book is now set to start for the Saints against the Dolphins on Monday night. It’s a shame for Hill, who has put together a nice stretch and is looking to show he can be the long-term quarterback in New Orleans.

Taylor Heinicke is being removed from the reserve/COVID-19 list.
Heinicke will be back for a big game against Dallas on Sunday night, and it’s close to a must-win to avoid a guaranteed losing record at 6-9. We wouldn’t highly recommend Heinicke based on how good the Cowboys have been defensively.

Jalen Guyton is being placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
Guyton joins Austin Ekeler and others on the list for the Chargers, and he’s likely going to miss this weekend’s game based on the timing. If so, rookie Josh Palmer would be the clear No. 3 wideout behind Keenan Allen and Mike Williams for a great matchup versus Houston.
