Join now >Josh Gordon has been activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list.
Gordon could have a significant role on Sunday based on the COVID issues for the Chiefs this week, and it’d probably take one key player being out to put him on the FLEX radar. For now, he can be viewed as a speculative add in deeper leagues.

Julio Jones is off the Week 16 injury report.
Despite just leaving last Sunday’s game early, Jones practiced fully today and is ready to go for tomorrow night’s Thursday night matchup against the 49ers. It’s a major surprise and good to hear. Now we have to hope Jones can hold up both for tomorrow and moving forward with the hamstring issues he’s gone through in 2021. Also for the Titans, A.J. Brown is expected to be activated from injured reserve for tomorrow night, so the team should be in a good spot if both Jones and Brown can play in Week 16.

The Texans placed Brandin Cooks on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
Unfortunately, Cooks was tested and tested positive for the virus today. It’s now Wednesday, so Cooks might have a tough time getting cleared for Week 16 against the Chargers this Sunday.

Elijah Mitchell (knee) ruled out for Week 16.
The team had expressed doubt about his status, so this isn’t a surprise, and Jeff Wilson Jr. will draw another start. Also, Trey Sermon might get a chance for some touches of activated from injured reserve, but Wilson is clearly the top play as a quality RB2 against the Titans.
12/22/21 - 03:04 PM ET
Sam Darnold (shoulder) will play in Week 16.
Head coach Matt Rhule has said that Cam Newton will continue to start and have a major role, but Darnold also being set to see the field makes this an interesting situation—and a definite downgrade to Newton’s fantasy outlook. That said, Carolina has three more games to see what they have in Darnold before reevaluating the position in 2022, so it makes sense for him to play. For those planning to start Newton, his rushing ability with a touchdown in every appearance this season is at least reason to be optimistic about his outlook.
12/22/21 - 02:31 PM ET
Austin Hooper has been activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list.
Head coach Kevin Stefanski is also back for Cleveland, so they’ll be closer to full strength heading into the Christmas Day matchup against Green Bay. David Njoku has established himself as the preferred play at tight end, but Hooper is worth a look versus a defense that couldn’t contain Mark Andrews in Week 15.
12/22/21 - 11:55 AM ET
Elijah Moore has been placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
This isn’t a big deal from a fantasy perspective with Moore currently on injured reserve, but in general, the Jets placed 14 players on the list—including wideouts Jeff Smith and Vyncint Smith. Hopefully current starts Jamison Crowder, Denzel Mims, and Keelan Cole Sr. are able to stay healthy for Zach Wilson ahead of a matchup against the Jaguars.
