Join now >Dwayne Haskins (ankle) is done for the season.
Haskins left Week 16 after a very strong start (12-of-15 for 133 yards and two touchdowns), but fortunately, the injury isn’t overly serious, as the rookie apparently wanted to return to the game. Still, his year is now over, and the No. 15 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft will finish his first season by completing 58.6% of his passes for 1,365 yards, seven touchdowns, and seven interceptions in nine games (seven starts). The Redskins should be happy with what they saw down the stretch in particular, and Haskins—the rookie passer that likely needed the most development entering the league—showed enough flashes to feel good about as the franchise guy in 2020 and beyond. Depending on the upgrades added around him and who the next head coach is for Washington, Haskins may be an upside QB2 pick in fantasy drafts over the summer.

Lamar Jackson will not play in Week 17.
Jackson himself wanted to play in the regular season finale, but the Ravens are holding out their franchise quarterback with the No. 1 seed in the AFC locked up. The only concern is that Jackson could be slightly rusty with about three weeks off until he hits the field again in the Divisional Round, but the dynamic quarterback will be fully healthy as he gears up for a Super Bowl run. Jackson’s phenomenal second season ends with 3,127 passing yards, 36 passing touchdowns, six interceptions, 176 carries, 1,206 rushing yards (6.9 average), and seven rushing touchdowns—he will certainly be named league MVP in several weeks. From a fantasy perspective, Jackson was basically a cheat code this season, and he was fewer than two points behind Patrick Mahomes from last season for the most fantasy points ever for a quarterback in a season, though Jackson played one fewer game. And from a real life perspective, Jackson silenced the doubters and did it with a humble attitude that makes him a likable young superstar in the NFL.

Mason Rudolph (left shoulder) is expected to miss multiple weeks.
After being unable to finish yesterday’s game against the Jets, Rudolph was not expected to be ready for Week 17 against the Ravens. But it sounds like the second-year quarterback’s season might be over even if Pittsburgh gets into the postseason. Devlin Hodges will start versus Baltimore to conclude the regular season, and he must protect the ball as the Steelers look to ride their defense to a playoff run. Rudolph’s regular season ends with 1,765 passing yards, 13 passing touchdowns, and nine interceptions in ten games. The Oklahoma State product was up and down, but he showed enough flashes that he’ll likely be in the mix as the franchise’s long-term quarterback if Ben Roethlisberger retires within the next few years.

Chris Carson (hip) is out for the remainder of the 2019 season.
Carson broke his hip in Sunday’s loss to the Cardinals, so he’s obviously not going to be available in the postseason, which has led to Seattle reportedly looking at Marshawn Lynch as an option for them. After nine touches for 60 yards on Sunday, Carson’s 2019 campaign finishes with 278 carries 1,230 yards, and seven touchdowns in 15 games, and he also showed well as a receiver with 37 receptions, 266 yards, and two more scores. The Seahawks may go to more of an even timeshare between Carson and Rashaad Penny (knee) in 2020, but especially with the former first-round pick dealing with a lengthy injury of his own, Carson should be drafted as at least a low-end RB2.

Corey Davis is in concussion protocol.
Davis left in the second half of yesterday’s game with a concussion, and he’ll have six days to get cleared for Week 17 against the Texans. From a fantasy perspective, Davis probably can’t be counted on even if he’s active to end the regular season.

Mark Ingram has a calf strain, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
With the No. 1 seed in the AFC locked up for the Ravens anyway, Ingram obviously will not be playing in Week 17 against the Steelers. Rapoport says that Baltimore hopes Ingram is back in time for the playoffs, which won’t be for three weeks given the bye week for the Ravens. Ingram’s first regular season with the Ravens ends with 202 carries for 1,018 rushing yards and ten rushing touchdowns along with 26 receptions for 247 receiving yards and five receiving touchdowns in 15 games, as he was a strong compliment to likely league MVP Lamar Jackson’s elite speed around the corner.

Miles Sanders plays well in Eagles’ critical win.
Sanders carries 20 times for 79 yards and a touchdown along with five receptions for 77 yards in Philadelphia’s home win over Dallas to get into position to clinch the NFC East in Week 17. The rushing numbers aren’t spectacular for Sanders, but he ran tough all afternoon, and it would have been a bigger game if he did not slide down late in the game on a would-be long touchdown (the correct decision to run out the clock). Sanders joins Reggie Bush, Giovani Bernard, Alvin Kamara, and Saquon Barkley as one of five rookies since 2000 with 500+ rushing yards and 500+ receiving yards in a season.
