Dalvin Cook (shoulder) was officially limited in today’s practice.

It would be a major surprise if Cook plays in Week 17, but it’s still a good sign that he’s on the practice field this week. The Vikings might ultimately just rule Cook out tomorrow when the final injury report of the week is released.

Raiders confirm Josh Jacobs had an infection.

Unfortunately, Jacobs woke up yesterday on Christmas with leg discomfort, but the Raiders says he was “evaluated and treated for a superficial skin infection.” This isn’t thought to be anything serious, but his Week 17 status is up in the air when you pair this with the shoulder injury he’s been dealing with. We’ll track Jacobs’ practice status throughout the week.

The Buccaneers signed Jordan Leggett to the practice squad.

Leggett does not need to be held in dynasty leagues at the moment, but the Clemson product could get an early leg up for a roster spot in Tampa Bay next season.

The Steelers have designated Ryan Switzer to return from injured reserve.

Switzer has been out since going down in Week 10 with a back injury, and he will be available for the postseason if Pittsburgh is able to advance. The North Carolina product is unlikely to have a significant role with rookie Diontae Johnson locked in as the team’s punt returner.

The Steelers have designated Roosevelt Nix to return from injured reserve.

Nix will be eligible to play in the season finale as Pittsburgh tries to get into the playoffs, and his presence will provide a big boost to the running game. If James Conner (thigh) ends up playing, he should get a slight boost in the RB2 ranks with his fullback leading the way.

The Chiefs have placed Spencer Ware (shoulder) on injured reserve.

Ware went down in Week 16 after drawing the start, so his short return to Kansas City will end by being placed on IR. Damien Williams had an impressive showing last week and should lead the backfield with LeSean McCoy and Darwin Thompson mixing in this weekend and into the playoffs.

Jaydon Mickens was promoted to the Buccaneers active roster.

Mickens could get a nice opportunity on both special teams as a returner and on offense in a banged up receiving corps. Mickens is not a recommended fantasy pickup for Week 17.
