The Vikings signed Tony Brooks-James to the practice squad.

Brooks-James had gotten a carry in three games for the Steelers this season, and the Vikings must have liked what they saw from the former Oregon Duck. Brooks-James is not a must-own in dynasty leagues at the moment.

The Raiders signed Rod Smith.

With Josh Jacobs (shoulder) hurting, Oakland is adding more depth at running back. Smith doesn’t figure to get enough work to be a fantasy option over the final three games of the season.

The Raiders placed Foster Moreau on injured reserve.

Moreau injured his knee last Sunday, and his season is officially over. It was a promising rookie year for the fourth-round pick, as he caught 21 passes for 174 yards and five touchdowns in 13 games while working in tandem with Darren Waller. Foster figures to remain an integral part of Jon Gruden’s offense moving forward, and he’ll have sneaky double-digit touchdown upside in 2020.

The 49ers have placed Marquise Goodwin on injured reserve, according to ESPN’s Field Yates.

Goodwin is dealing with a knee injury that kept him out of the lineup last week, and it is apparently significant enough that he won’t be able to suit up again in 2019 for the playoff-bound 49ers. The veteran deep threat had caught just one passes since Week 6, and his season finishes with 12 receptions, 186 yards, and one touchdown in nine games. Goodwin is under contract for two more years, but he won’t be a recommended fantasy selection in 2020.

The Redskins have placed Derrius Guice (knee) on injured reserve.

Guice injured his knee in Sunday’s loss to the Packers, so his 2019 season ends with 42 carries for 245 yards (5.8 YPC) and two touchdowns on the ground with seven receptions for 79 yards and another score as a receiver. The LSU product appeared in just five games, but he flashed the impressive ability that made him an exciting prospect two years ago. Hopefully the injury concerns can become a thing of the past starting next season, though it’s worth nothing that including the torn ACL that wiped out his entire rookie season, Guice has now endured three multi-week injuries in his young career. The latest injury should have him healthy well before camp, so Guice will be an optimistic RB2 in 2020.

The Lions have placed Marvin Jones (ankle) on injured reserve.

Detroit will be without one of their top players for the final three weeks, and Jones’ season finishes with 62 receptions, 779 yards, and nine touchdowns in 13 games. Turning 30 in March, Jones has showed he has plenty left in the tank—including a dominant four-touchdown game earlier in the year against Minnesota—but it wouldn’t be surprising if the Lions decided to move on from him with minimal cap impact heading into the final year of his contract. Assuming he remains in Detroit, Jones will be a quality mid-to-late-round selection in fantasy drafts over the summer.

The Panthers waived Greg Dortch.

This is the second time Carolina has waived Dortch this season. He fumbled a kick return in Sunday’s loss to the Falcons, and the team is moving in a different direction for now. Dortch could land back on Carolina’s practice squad soon.
