Join now >T.J. Hockenson (ankle) has been placed on injured reserve.
Detroit’s first-round pick was injured on Thanksgiving, and his rookie campaign ends with 32 receptions, 367 yards, and two touchdowns across 12 games. Hockenson was never really able to build on his historic debut (6/131/1), but his future is still extremely bright, especially seeing as tight ends rarely become big-time statistical contributors in their first year. The Lions will go with Jesse James, Logan Thomas, and Isaac Nauta at the position over the final four games. He will be a breakout candidate next summer, but Hockenson could end up being overvalued if Detroit still has Kenny Golladay and Marvin Jones at receiver in 2020.

The Jaguars have benched Nick Foles for Gardner Minshew.
Foles was replaced at halftime in the team’s Week 13 loss, and Jacksonville has named the rookie as the starter ahead of next week’s matchup against the Chargers. Poor pass protection doomed the Jags yesterday against an aggressive Tampa Bay front, so Foles didn’t really have a chance since returning from injury. If the former Super Bowl MVP doesn’t see the field again this season, he will finish with 736 yards and a 3:2 touchdown-interception ratio in four starts. Foles signed a four-year, $88-million contract in the offseason.

The Jaguars have announced that Gardner Minshew will start in Week 14.
Minshew took over for Nick Foles to start the second half yesterday, and Jacksonville—now at 4-8—is going back to the rookie as their starting quarterback. The biggest issue for the Jaguars right now is play on the offensive line, but the schedule isn’t overly imposing over the final four weeks, so Minshew will be worth considering as a streaming option as early as next Sunday against the Chargers. Pocket mobility is probably the biggest advantage the sixth-rounder has over Foles, but the franchise will have a big decision to make after the season.

Chester Rogers likely suffered a season-ending knee fracture in Sunday’s loss to the Titans, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
More tests will determine the extent of the injury, but it sounds like another blow to the Indianapolis offense, which is already without Marlon Mack (hand), T.Y. Hilton (calf), and Eric Ebron (ankle, IR). If his season is over, Rogers finishes with 16 receptions for 179 yards and two touchdowns in ten games. The 25-year-old is set to his unrestricted free agency.

The Cardinals are releasing Zach Zenner, according to Ian Rapoport.
Arizona’s backfield is strong enough now that Chase Edmonds didn’t even receive a touch in his return yesterday, so Zenner will now hit waivers. The 28-year-old handled three touches for ten yards with the Cardinals.

N’Keal Harry held without a catch in loss to the Texans.
Harry played 81% of the team’s offensive snaps and caught his first career touchdown in Week 12, but he dropped behind all three of Julian Edelman, Jakobi Meyers, and Phillip Dorsett on Sunday night, drawing just one target. While New England’s first-round pick has the talent to re-emerge, fantasy owners should keep in mind that Mohamed Sanu (ankle) will be ahead of him when he’s back to full strength, and the team simply has more trust in the fellow rookie Meyers right now. Harry won’t be a recommended play next week against the Chiefs.

Courtland Sutton scores twice in win over the Chargers.
Both touchdowns came in the first quarter, as Sutton hauled in a diving, one-handed grab for a 26-yard touchdown, and then got free from Casey Hayward on a five-yard score. Overall, Sutton finished with four receptions for 76 yards, and he was the only Denver player to record more than 15 receiving yards in Drew Lock’s first career start. The floor needs to be lowered with the rookie under center, but Sutton will remain an upside WR2 facing an easy schedule the rest of the way (@ HOU, @ HOU, v DET, v OAK).
