Of his star running back, Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer said: “We’ll see how it goes at the end of the week… we’re not going to play a guy that’s hurt.” Despite Cook himself saying that he would play this week, it sounds like he might be on the doubtful side of things. You cannot take any team or week lightly in the NFL, but Minnesota might believe they can handle the Lions this Sunday without Cook, and they may have an eye toward the final three weeks of the regular season and into the postseason. Expect Cook to be no better than limited in practice this week, and check back on Friday for his official game status.

Darrel Williams (hamstring) will not practice today.
This is not a surprise after Williams left with what appeared to be a serious hamstring injury a few days ago. We’ll let you know if Williams happens to practice tomorrow, but we expect that he’ll be ruled out on Friday.

Damien Williams (ribs) will not practice today.
This is not a good start to the week for Williams, but it’s only Wednesday, so perhaps he can get out for tomorrow’s practice. We’ll keep you updated on Williams’ practice status throughout the week.
12/4/19 - 12:53 PM ET
Julio Jones (shoulder) will be limited in today’s practice.
This is a pretty good start to the week for Jones, who appeared to be pushing to play on Thanksgiving Night against the Saints before ultimately being held out. Falcons head coach Dan Quinn sounds optimistic that Jones will be able to return to the lineup on Sunday, and we expect that he will play. Ideally, he will avoid a questionable tag on Friday.
12/4/19 - 12:37 PM ET
Kerryon Johnson (knee) has been designated to return from injured reserve.
Johnson has 21 days to be activated and can officially return in Week 16, so those in need of running back help should pick him up if possible—especially in leagues that play through Week 17. Detroit has shown a commitment to the run with Bo Scarbrough over the past few weeks, and Kerryon figures to slide right back into the starting lineup with a potential floor of 15 touches. The Auburn product should be in the RB2 ranks against Denver and Green Bay in the fantasy championship.

The Ravens have signed Patrick Ricard to a two-year extension, according to Ian Rapoport.
A rare two-way player that’s seen increasing usage on offense, Ricard is obviously a versatile piece for Baltimore, as he also contributes on special teams in addition to at fullback and on the defensive line. Ricard has never recorded a carry in his career, but he’s caught eight passes this season, including a touchdown in the opener.

Eli Manning is expected to start in Week 14.
Rookie quarterback Daniel Jones has a mild high-ankle sprain and is in a walking boot, and Giants head coach Pat Shurmur says Manning is “very likely” to start against the Eagles on Monday night. Playing in Philadelphia is a tough environment, and Manning has had some struggles there in the past, so he’s not a recommended pickup-and-play despite Philadelphia’s defense getting torched by Ryan Fitzpatrick last week. Still, it will be pretty cool for Giants fans to see Eli under center again in what is almost certainly his last season with the team.
