Join now >Derek Carr struggles in 40-9 loss to the Chiefs.
In a battle for first place in the AFC West, Carr was 20-of-30 for 222 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions—including a pick-six. Cold weather was a concern for Carr as a fantasy option in Week 13, and he did basically nothing until a garbage time touchdown to Derek Carrier with under a minute to play in the game. You can probably find a better option for the fantasy playoffs, but it’s at least worth noting that the next two matchups (v TEN, v JAX) will both be played in Oakland.

Jared Goff breaks slump with 400-yard game against the Cardinals.
Goff was 32-of-43 for 424 yards, two touchdowns, and zero interceptions in a 34-7 victory, getting big games out of Robert Woods (13/172), Tyler Higbee (7/107/1) and Cooper Kupp (6/65/1). It would have been fun to see the numbers Goff could have put up if Arizona kept pace offensively, but fantasy owners that rolled with him can’t complain about the showing. The biggest difference on Sunday was protection holding up, and Goff flashed on-the-money accuracy because he was given time. We’ll see if he can string together another strong performance next week for a primetime matchup against Seattle.

Ronald Jones II works behind Peyton Barber in Week 13 win.
Jones rushed just six times for eight yards in a game Tampa Bay led throughout, while Barber handled 17 carries for 44 yards and both scores in a frustrating backfield situation. The performance comes just two weeks after a six-touch outing against New Orleans, so Jones’ star had quickly faded heading into the fantasy playoffs. The USC product is just a risky FLEX after looking like a hopeful RB2 last month.

Aaron Jones held in check as Green Bay improves to 9-3.
Jones rushed 11 times for just 18 yards, also adding four receptions for just 13 yards. He once again formed a fairly even split with Jamaal Williams (14 touches for 67 yards), but Jones was unable to get much going against an improving New York front. It looked like a touchdown saved his day in the fourth quarter, but it was called back on a holding penalty, and Jones was contained for the second game in a row. A breakout should be coming soon, but keep in mind that Green Bay’s starter has been extremely reliant on touchdowns this year, and next week’s opponent (the Redskins) just limited Christian McCaffrey to 14 carries for 44 yards.

Adrian Peterson rushed 13 times for 99 yards and a touchdown in Sunday’s win over Carolina.
Peterson and Derrius Guice combined for well over 200 yards in a 29-21 victory, and the Redskins clearly want to run the ball down the stretch to take the pressure off Dwayne Haskins. It’s worth noting that the matchup was great on Sunday, but Peterson is at least worth considering as a FLEX play with double-digit touches in each of the past seven games. Next up is a matchup against the Packers.
12/2/19 - 09:32 AM ET
Derrius Guice explodes in win over the Panthers.
Facing one of the league’s worst run defenses, Guice took full advantage, rushing ten times for 129 yards and two touchdowns and catching two passes for eight yards. The second-year back was actually out-touched by Adrian Peterson (13 carries for 99 yards and a touchdown), but there was enough work for both of them to have big games—and that was with Chris Thompson back in the lineup. Guice’s star is shining ahead of the fantasy playoffs, and he could be a solid RB2 for another good matchup next week in Green Bay.

DeVante Parker dominates the Eagles as Miami picks up their third win of the season.
Parker caught seven passes for 159 yards and two touchdowns, both of which were highlight plays in a 37-31 victory. On the first, Parker made a contested catch along the sideline, kept his balance to stay in bounds, and sprinted for a 43-yard score; and on the second, he simply used his size and leaping ability to sky over a defender for a 17-yard jump ball. Philadelphia basically had no answer for the former first-round pick, who now owns a 53/854/6 line heading into the fantasy playoffs. He will be at least a high-upside WR2 for Week 14 against the Jets.
