Join now >Jacoby Brissett has been ruled out for Week 10.
This comes shortly after the Colts promoted quarterback Chad Kelly to the active roster. Brian Hoyer will start for Indianapolis tomorrow against Miami, and he is an intriguing option in deep leagues in particular after playing well in relief last week. But expect the Colts to go with a run-heavy attack featuring Marlon Mack. Brissett might have been able to play after he practiced on a limited basis during the week, but the Colts said they would be smart with their starting quarterback.

The Colts waived Deon Cain.
This is a bit of a surprise, but Cain was just unable to make a huge impact this season. The Colts have said they believed Cain would take some time to get back to himself coming off last season’s knee injury, and the Clemson product still has definite talent and upside. Indy will likely try to get him to the practice squad, but other teams might be interested in claiming him. Cain was drafted in the sixth round last year.

The Colts promoted Chad Kelly to the active roster.
With Jacoby Brissett (knee) up in the air for tomorrow’s game against the Dolphins, Kelly is likely being brought up to the 53-man roster as insurance in case Brissett can’t go.

The Bears are releasing Mike Davis.
Davis announced the news on Twitter by thanking Chicago, and he will now hit waivers. The Bears made the decision to release the veteran back because a) it nets them a compensatory pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, and b) rookie David Montgomery has stepped up as the clear leader in the backfield. Davis going someplace like Detroit could lead to immediate fantasy value.

Josh Gordon (ankle) officially remains limited in practice.
Gordon is expected to be fine for Monday night as he looks to make his Seahawks debut, but check back tomorrow for his official Week 10 game status on the final injury report of the week.

George Kittle (knee/ankle) officially did not practice today.
49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan said yesterday that Kittle was day-to-day, but two consecutive missed practices the past two days is not a great sign for his Monday night status. Hopefully Kittle can hit the practice field tomorrow, but we’ll let you know how he’s listed on the final Week 10 injury report when it’s released.

Demaryius Thomas (hamstring) is officially questionable for Week 10.
Thomas practiced in a limited capacity all week and should be good to go on Sunday, but fantasy owners will need to check back on Sunday morning when actives/inactives are announced. Either way, it might be best to look elsewhere.
