Join now >James Conner (shoulder) is not expected to play in Week 10.
The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette’s Gerry Dulac reports that the third-year running back is not expected to play this Sunday against the Rams. Perhaps Conner can make considerable progress over the next few days and play on Sunday, but it’ll likely be Jaylen Samuels again leading Pittsburgh’s backfield for the second consecutive game. It’s possible Conner is ruled out ahead of the weekend, but we’ll let you know how he’s officially listed on the final Week 10 injury report when it’s released sometime tomorrow.

A.J. Green (ankle) will not play in Week 10.
After his ankle did not feel right yesterday, Green says he will not play against the Ravens on Sunday. The wait continues for the Pro Bowl receiver’s 2019 debut, which may never happen at this point. Green has maintained he will not play until he is absolutely 100% healthy, and he hasn’t been able to get there since the injury sustained on the first day of training camp during the summer. It sounds like Green needs to get through practices without the ankle swelling up, which he says has still been an issue. We would still try to hold Green on fantasy rosters if possible after you’ve likely kept him on your roster for weeks, but he’s not a must-hold at this point.

Antonio Brown tweets that he will never play in the NFL again.
In a strongly-worded tweet, Brown stated: “Imagine conforming to a system giving it a 100 percent to see them treat me like this is unfairly ! Making money off my sweat and blood F*** the @nfl I’ll never play in that s*** treat black people the worse! Clear my name and go f*** your self”. News emerged this morning that Brown was set to talk to the league next week as part of the investigation into the allegations against him brought by a former trainer, but clearly Brown is not taking this well. If he is 100% innocent of the allegations, AB does have a point considering how long the NFL has taken with the investigation (though that might have been caused by Brown not cooperating). This also comes after ESPN’s Josina Anderson reported that teams would be interested in signing the former All-Pro receiver after the investigation, but it’s difficult to see Brown playing again this season.

Alvin Kamara is expected to return in Week 10.
Saints head coach Sean Payton just said that he “fully expect[s]” Kamara will play this Sunday against the Falcons, as expected. The star running back missed the previous two games with his ankle injury, with Latavius Murray doing an exceptional job filling in as a workhorse on offense during his absence. Kamara is obviously an immediate RB1 for his return, and Murray should be considered more of an RB2/FLEX option against a Falcons team that’s played the run well this season despite issues on defense overall.

There will be “no activity” for Sterling Shepard this week.
This was fully expected with Shepard still dealing with his latest concussion. It’s an unfortunate situation for the Oklahoma product, and hopefully he’s feeling better soon. Shepard is out for Week 10 and should be considered week-to-week.

The Redskins have activated Derrius Guice from injured reserve.
Guice is expected to be back in action following the team’s bye, and he should immediately form a backfield split with Adrian Peterson on one of the most run-heavy teams in football. The LSU product should be rostered wherever available as a potential RB2/FLEX option down the stretch.

James Conner (shoulder) was officially limited in today’s practice.
Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin says of Conner’s status: “We’re going to let his participation this week be our guide, in terms of his availability.” Conner is expected to try to ramp up his practice activity as the week progresses, so hopefully he can get up to a full practice in Friday. Right now, he’s probably about 50/50 for Week 10.
