Join now >Mike Williams (back) has officially been ruled out for Week 4.
Despite Williams not practicing on Wednesday or Thursday, this is a bit of a surprise. It’s unclear what the exact extent of Williams’ injury is, so he should be considered week-to-week for now. With Williams and running back Justin Jackson out and Travis Benjamin doubtful, the Chargers are likely going to give Keenan Allen and Austin Ekeler plenty of opportunities against the Dolphins.

Melvin Gordon’s holdout could “soon be coming to an end,” according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Schefter says that no final decisions have been made, but Gordon—who had planned to return at some point in October (likely close to Halloween if we had to guess)—may move up his timeline. A holdout never seemed like a great idea to build value ahead of free agency after the season, but now Gordon could be thinking that his return will help a 1-2 Chargers team. While it’s worth noting that this report isn’t definite, it sounds like fantasy owners may have Gordon back as soon as Week 5 or Week 6.

Trey Burton (groin) is officially listed as questionable for Week 4.
Burton was a full participant in the first two days of practice this week, but he was downgraded to a limited practice today and is now listed as questionable to face the Vikings. Overall, Burton is not a recommended fantasy option right now, but he doesn’t play until the later games if you’re planning to use him in your lineup.

The Seahawks are signing Luke Willson, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Willson tweeted an “Undertaker” gif last night, hinting that he might be coming back to Seattle after the team traded tight end Nick Vannett to the Steelers, and it is indeed happening. Willson, who starred on HBO’s ‘Hard Knocks’ this year before eventually getting cut by the Raiders, spent the first five years of his career with the Seahawks from 2013-2017, so he’s a natural fit as more depth at the position after the Vannett trade. He’s not a recommended fantasy pickup at the moment.

Taylor Gabriel (concussion) has been ruled out for Week 4.
Gabriel did not practice at all this week as he apparently remains in the early stages of concussion protocol. Hopefully the veteran receiver is feeling better soon. His absence could lead to more snaps for talented second-year receiver Anthony Miller, who has just two receptions this season.

The Steelers are acquiring Nick Vannett, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
The 2016 third-round pick of the Seahawks is behind Will Dissly on the tight end depth chart in Seattle, but Pittsburgh is a good spot for him. The Steelers probably would like to use more two tight-end sets moving forward, and Vannett should be a big part of that. However, the Ohio State product is not a recommended fantasy pickup unless Vance McDonald, who left Week 3 with a shoulder injury and has an unclear recovery timetable, happens to miss more time.

Damien Williams (knee) has been ruled out for Week 4.
Williams didn’t practice all week after missing today’s practice, so this was fully expected. The injury wasn’t thought to be something that would force Williams to miss much time, but Williams has missed the last six practices for the Chiefs after suffering his knee injury in Week 2, and he should be considered week-t0-week still. LeSean McCoy will start for the Chiefs and is a strong play, while Darrel Williams is likely to be the second guy mixing in and could provide FLEX value in a high-powered offense.
