Join now >Trey Burton (groin) is officially active for Week 3.
Burton is very difficult to trust in fantasy lineups right now, but he’ll be available for the Bears as they take on the Redskins and look to improve to 2-1.

Jamaal Williams leaves game with apparent head injury.
On the first play of scrimmage for Green Bay, Williams took a big helmet-to-helmet hit from Derek Barnett and then had his head driven into the ground. Unfortunately, the cart is now being brought out for the third-year running back, so his night is certainly done—but at least he was moving around before being put on the stretcher. Hopefully this is just a precaution, but more information should become available in the next 24 hours. Aaron Jones is likely to get a ton of work for the rest of the game, which is just over two minutes completed.

Kyle Shanahan says Tevin Coleman (ankle) has a “good chance” to return in Week 5.
The Niners are headed into their Week 4 bye, and fortunately it looks like that could lead to Coleman only missing two games with his ankle sprain. The dynamic running back figures to return into a prominent role in the San Francisco backfield, including potentially as the primary red zone and goal line back like Jeff Wilson Jr. (three touchdowns) has been the past couple of weeks during Coleman’s absence. If Coleman is somehow available in your league, he should clearly be the top waiver wire pickup despite him being on a bye for Week 5.

Tyler Higbee (chest) was officially a full participant in today’s practice.
Higbee missed Week 3 with his chest injury, but he’s set to return this Sunday against the Buccaneers. Higbee will split time with Gerald Everett at tight end for the Rams, but he’s difficult to trust in fantasy lineups.

The Patriots placed James Develin (neck) on injured reserve.
Develin missed yesterday’s game against the Jets with a neck injury, and now he’ll miss at least eight weeks on injured reserve. This is a big loss for New England’s running game, which has not been clicking through three games. International Pathway player Jakob Johnson, who Bill Belichick praised for his hard work and carving out a spot on the practice squad and now the active roster, will fill in at fullback for the Patriots.

Rashaad Penny (hamstring) officially practiced on a limited basis today.
This is a step in the right direction for Penny after he injured his hamstring in last Friday’s practice, missed Week 3, then missed yesterday’s practice. He’s trending towards suiting up against the Cardinals this Sunday, but check back tomorrow for his official Week 4 status when the final injury report is released.

The Cardinals have released Michael Crabtree.
Crabtree caught four passes for 22 yards with the Cardinals, but the team is moving in another direction. The veteran receiver just turned 32 years old earlier this month. Perhaps he’ll draw interest from a team like the Raiders (he spent 2015-2017 in Oakland) given his connection with quarterback Derek Carr.
