James Robinson (Achilles) is out for the rest of today.
This obviously isn’t great to hear, and now we just have to hope this isn’t a torn Achilles—which is sounds like it might be based on him getting carted to the locker room and being ruled out already in the first quarter. Before leaving, J-Rob had three carries for ten yards against the Jets in Week 16. More information on Robinson’s injury should become available in the next 24 hours.

Marcus Mariota has been placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
Mariota has seen some action behind Derek Carr in recent weeks, but he won’t be active today. Nathan Peterman should be the backup for Carr as Las Vegas tries to improve to 8-7.

The Raiders have placed Bryan Edwards on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
Edwards caught a touchdown last week in the win over Cleveland, so it’s unfortunate he won’t get a chance to build on that for a big game against Denver today. Zay Jones and DeSean Jackson will boost get a boost as FLEX fliers for Week 16.

Kadarius Toney (oblique) is officially active for Week 16.
Toney hasn’t played since November 22, and the Giants are hoping he provides a spark to the offense in his return. With Jake Fromm making his first career start, we’d say Toney gets a boost due to his run-after-catch skillset being a good fit with the second-year quarterback, and Philadelphia can be vulnerable over the middle of the field. Consider the rookie an upside FLEX that has his floor elevated some without Sterling Shepard (Achilles).

Adam Thielen (ankle) is officially active for Week 16.
Thielen is returning from his high-ankle sprain after a two-game absence, and Minnesota is getting him back at the right time with Dalvin Cook (COVID-19) out ahead of a rough two-game stretch versus the Rams and Packers. There is a chance Thielen is less effective if he’s not 100%, but he will be difficult to bench as an upside WR2 play with Justin Jefferson potentially seeing quite a bit of Jalen Ramsey.
