Join now >The Dolphins are re-signing Durham Smythe to a two-year deal, according to Mike Gesicki.
The franchise-tagged tight end made it clear that he is the source of this news, and Smythe will be back in Miami as depth behind Gesicki for Mike McDaniel’s new-look offense. Last season, the Notre Dame product quietly caught a career-high 34 passes for 357 yards, and the Dolphins have put a deeper overall group together so far this offseason.

Ray-Ray McCloud is signing with the 49ers.
McCloud said earlier this offseason that he only wanted to play for Mike Tomlin, but he’ll instead head over to an NFC contender on a two-year deal. Aside from the obvious value on special teams, McCloud can also be a factor on offense with the potential to do some similar things to Deebo Samuel if needed.
The Bears are signing Byron Pringle.
Pringle is a familiar name for general manager Ryan Poles, and the former Chief will have a big opportunity to earn a role with a wide-open depth chart behind Darnell Mooney. Chicago notably doesn’t have a first-round pick next month, so there is a good chance at least the No. 3 role is up for grabs this summer.

The Raiders are acquiring Davante Adams from the Packers.
In a stunning move, Las Vegas is trading a first-round pick and more for the All-Pro wideout, and Green Bay is suddenly without Adams despite the return of Aaron Rodgers. Las Vegas is also giving Adams a five-year deal to make him the highest-paid wide receiver in NFL history, and he’s already bought a house next to new quarterback—and college quarterback—Derek Carr. The Packers simply weren’t willing to give big-time money to Adams, but they now have a lot of work to do in rebuilding the receiving corps for 2022. For the Raiders, their core of Adams, Darren Waller, and Hunter Renfrow vaults Carr into unquestioned QB1 status.
Garrett Griffin is signing with the Lions.
Griffin played under Dan Campbell in New Orleans, and he’ll new rejoin him as a backup to T.J. Hockenson in Detroit. The veteran caught four passes last season with the Saints.
