WOLF SPORTS PROJECTION

Steve Smith Sr. calls it a career.

The Future Hall of Fame receiver played his final game on Sunday, catching three passes for 34 yards in a 27-10 loss to the Bengals. Even in his age-37 season, Smith showed he's got some left in the tank with a 70/799/5 line. In his 16 years with the Panthers and Ravens, Smith had 1,031 catches for 14,731 yards, and 81 touchdowns. He might not get in for his first year of eligibility, but Smith will be wearing a gold jacket soon enough.

Steve Smith Sr. | Retired WR

Steve Smith Sr. had seven catches for 79 yards and one touchdown in Sunday's loss to the Steelers.

The Christmas Day loss ended the Ravens' season and could be the last meaningful game Smith plays in his career. Though he's set to retire after the year, perhaps Smith will again decide that he has some left in a tank and doesn't want to end without making the playoffs. If not, he will suit up one final time next Sunday, and could go out with a bang against the Bengals.

Steve Smith Sr. | Retired WR

Steve Smith catches touchdown against the Eagles.

Smith had two catches for 40 yards, including running right by Eagles corner Jalen Mills for a 34-yard touchdown. Smith will be a WR2/FLEX next week against the Steelers on Christmas Day in a game that you know Smith will be ready to play in.

Steve Smith Sr. | Retired WR

Steve Smith leads Ravens in receiving in Week 14.

Smith had four catches for 57 yards, with a long of 25 yards. He had six targets in the game, and clearly wanted more work in the game than that. Smith still looks great coming off his torn Achilles, and it would not be surprising if he returned next season, as he's still a productive player.

Steve Smith Sr. | Retired WR

Steve Smith catches six passes in Ravens' blowout victory in Week 13.

Smith had six catches for 53 yards. You better believe Smith will be ready to play next week against New England. He's a good FLEX option.

Steve Smith Sr. | Retired WR

Steve Smith caught four passes for 20 yards in Sunday's 19-14 win over the Bengals.

Smith was held in check, but he should bounce back as a FLEX play for Week 13 versus the Dolphins. The future Hall of Fame receiver could have some big games down the stretch if he is indeed retiring at the end of the season.

Steve Smith Sr. | Retired WR

Steve Smith Sr. scores for second week in a row in Week 11.

Smith had eight catches for 99 yards and a touchdown. He looked as good as he has in the past couple of years, which is a great sign after last year’s torn Achilles. Smith is simply a baller. He has 6, 12, and 15 fantasy points in his last three games, and is looking like a solid FLEX option right now. He is a good option against the Bengals next week.

Steve Smith Sr. | Retired WR

Smith catches 5 passes for 60 yards and a touchdown in victory over Browns.

Joe Flacco connected with Smith on an 11-yard touchdown in the 3rd quarter. The veteran receiver is now 3 catches away from 1,000 career receptions, which he should get next week against the Cowboys. Smith doesn't have a lot of upside in his age-37 season, but he is a usable FLEX play down the stretch.
