Join now >Dalvin Cook says he’s ready for a heavy workload this season.
According to Chris Tomasson of the Pioneer Press, Cook says he was brought to Minnesota “to do a job, and my job is to carry the football as many times as they want to hand it to me.” After coming off a torn ACL suffered in Week 4 of his rookie season and then dealing with hamstring issues in 2018, Cook says he’s “having fun, back to being me,” indicating that he can handle as many touches as the Vikings want to give him. Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer didn’t want to say that Cook could be a 20-carry runner this season, but he did say they “don’t anticipate any issues” with their starting running back’s health, so it sounds like they won’t hesitate to feed him the ball. To start his NFL career back in 2017, Cook had games of 22 and 27 carries in two of the three games he played before the second-ending injury, and now another year removed from that ACL tear and with Latavius Murray now gone, it’s possible the Florida State product racks up a ton of touches for a defensive-minded team that wants to run the football.

Spencer Ware will begin training camp on the PUP list.
The Colts say Ware is dealing with a muscle injury and is expected to be able to practice in a week or two. Ware can be taken off the PUP list whenever he’s cleared, which is the good news. However, the veteran running back probably isn’t a roster lock for Indy, so hopefully he’s able to get on the field soon to carve out a role in one of the league’s best offenses.

Julian Edelman is expected to be sidelined three weeks with a thumb injury, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Edelman appeared with a small brace on his thumb at his recent youth camp (pictured in the link), but this doesn’t seem like an overly serious issue. If there’s a silver lining, it’s that the missed time will give the young guys like N’Keal Harry and Braxton Berrios a chance to make more plays in camp. Edelman is currently being drafted as the WR15 in 0.5 PPR leagues.

The Saints signed Rob Kelley.
The former Redskins’ starter finally has a new team, and it’s a good spot in New Orleans. Kelley will look to win a role this preseason, and he’s have a path to potential fantasy relevance on a top offense if an injury strikes ahead of him.

Redskins head coach Jay Gruden says Trey Quinn “has the inside spot pretty much locked down.”
The Redskins have been high on Quinn since drafting him with the final pick of the 2018 draft, but his rookie year was essentially wiped by an ankle injury that limited him to three games. However, heading into 2019, Quinn looks set to play the most consistent role among Washington’s receivers. Quinn holds the high school record for receiving yards, and he was also highly-productive at SMU, so he’s a player that has a sneaky chance to push for 100 receptions this season. Teammate Josh Doctson offers the most upside, but Quinn is our pick for the best fantasy selection among Redskins receivers in drafts later this summer.

The Patriots are signing Lance Kendricks, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Entering his ninth NFL season, Kendricks has the most experience among Patriots tight ends as the team looks to move forward without All-Pro Rob Gronkowski, so there’s a chance he carves out significant playing time for his new team. The depth chart at tight end for New England is wide-open at this point, and blocking will undoubtedly be an important aspect in the competition for playing time. Kendricks has 241 career receptions, but his career-high in receiving yardage is 519 yards in 2012 with the Rams.

The Colts have placed Daurice Fountain not the NFI List.
No explanation has been provided by the team, but Fountain will hopefully get on the field soon to make his case for a roster spot behind T.Y. Hilton, Devin Funchess, Parris Campbell, and Deon Cain.
