Beasley gained 28 yards on his three receptions in the Cowboys’s Wild Card Round victory. Early in the game, he injured his ankle but returned to the game without much issue after having it taped up. The veteran receiver might miss some practice time this week, but he’ll be ready to go for the Divisional Round.

Sammy Watkins (foot) is officially active for the Divisional Round.
As was the expectation since early December, Watkins is ready to go for the postseason after dealing with a foot injury that forced him to miss the final five games of the regular season. Watkins basically missed the entire second half of the season (he appeared in just a few plays in Week 11 against the Rams, his only action from Weeks 10-17), so hopefully he’s not too rusty as he returns for the Chiefs. The dynamic receiver’s presence is obviously a boost for Patrick Mahomes and Kansas City’s offense, though.

Aldrick Robinson held without a catch in Week 17 loss.
Robinson was targeted four times, but Minnesota’s passing attack never got going. The veteran receiver ends his age-30 campaign with 17 receptions for 231 yards and five touchdowns. He might be back as depth in 2019.

The Browns have officially hired Freddie Kitchens as their head coach.
Kitchens had a meteoric rise from running backs coach to offensive coordinator to now head coach in a span of just over two months, and he will be tasked with continuing to mold Baker Mayfield into a franchise quarterback. Cleveland’s offense made huge strides when Hue Jackson and Todd Haley were fired, but it’s definitely a gamble to give Kitchens the lead job over Gregg Williams (5-3 as interim coach), as he will be overseeing an entire operation rather than just Mayfield and the offense. Still, the franchise must have bought into the vision of their new head coach, and from a fantasy perspective, continuity should be good for Baker and the rest of the offense. Kitchens turned 44 in November.

Chris Carson bottled up in loss to the Cowboys.
Carson rushed 13 times for 20 yards and caught two passes for negative-one yard. The Dallas defensive line basically dominated the Wild Card Round, as Carson had no room to run in a 24-22 loss. He did convert a two-point conversion in the final minutes, but overall, it was a disappointing conclusion to an excellent season for the Oklahoma State product. Carson should open 2019 as the clear starter for Seattle, but it wouldn’t be surprising to see him operate in more of an even split with 2018 first-round pick Rashaad Penny. The backfield will be a storyline to watch over the summer.

The Dolphins have signed quarterback Jake Rudock to a reserve/future contract.
The 2016 sixth-round pick of the Lions hasn’t been anywhere other than Detroit during his NFL career, and now he’ll look to carve out a role in Miami where there could be a wide-open quarterback depth chart if Ryan Tannehill is let go. Rudock doesn’t need to be owned in dynasty leagues right now.
1/12/19 - 12:18 PM ET
The Lions signed Conner Cook to a Reserve-Future contract.
This could be a good spot for Cook, as it’s near where he had so much success during his college career at Michigan State. Cook will look to develop and potentially become Matthew Stafford’s clear backup with the Lions.
