Jaylen Samuels scores against the Saints.

Samuels carried 12 times for 53 yards along with three receptions for 11 yards and a touchdown in the Steelers’ Week 16 loss. It was another strong showing for the rookie running back, who remains the clear top option in the backfield without James Conner (ankle). If Conner remains out in Week 17, Samuels would remain an excellent fantasy option in championship lineups when Pittsburgh faces Cincinnati.

John Kelly handles 11 touches in win over the Cardinals.

Kelly rushed ten times for 40 yards, also adding a nine-yard reception. The rookie played well, but veteran C.J. Anderson (20 carries for 167 yards and a touchdown) was the clear lead back with Todd Gurley (knee) inactive, which means Kelly is highly unlikely to return value in redraft leagues to close out the regular season. Los Angeles can lock up the No. 2 seed next week against San Francisco.

Ben Roethlisberger throws three touchdowns in Steelers’ Week 16 loss.

Roethlisberger was 33/50 for 380 yards and three touchdowns in the tough loss at New Orleans. Big Ben played about as good as you can play, hitting Antonio Brown for two scores and Jaylen Samuels for the other, but the defense couldn’t quite hold on to a lead and then a JuJu-Smith-Schuster fumble in Saints territory killed their chances of a game-tying field goal or go-ahead score, so Pittsburgh now needs some help in the form of a Ravens loss to the Browns to get into the postseason as AFC North champs. In Week 17, Roethlisberger faces a Bengals team he had 369 yards and a touchdown against earlier this season.

C.J. Anderson goes off in Rams debut.

Drawing the start for Todd Gurley (knee), Anderson rushed 20 times for 167 yards and a touchdown. He also caught a pass for negative-five yards. The score was a four-yard run in the first half, and the veteran consistently picked up positive yardage against the league’s worst run defense. Anderson might start again to close out the regular season if Gurley isn’t fully healthy, so he’s a potential RB2 option for those still playing for a fantasy title. The Rams take on the 49ers next Sunday.

Richie James Jr. catches one pass in Week 16.

James gained four yards on his lone Week 16 reception. James is not a highly-recommended fantasy option nat the moment.

Trent Taylor catches one pass in Niners’ loss.

Taylor made a nice catch down the sideline for 23 yards on his lone reception of the day versus the Bears. The second-year receiver shouldn’t be trusted in Week 7 against the Rams.

Marquise Goodwin catches three passes in Week 16.

Goodwin gained 29 yards on his three reception versus Chicago. A pass intended for him was intercepted after it went off his hands when he might not have been quite ready for it, and Nick Mullens was visibly upset with his speedy receiver. Goodwin is difficult to trust in Week 17 fantasy lineups against the Rams.
