Join now >DeSean Jackson held in check as Tampa Bay falls to 3-5.
Jackson caught two passes for 32 yards in a 42-28 loss to the Panthers. The veteran deep threat is on pace for a 56/1,252/8 line at the season’s midway point, but he is unlikely to match that production with a scorching start boosting his numbers. Jackson does get a winnable matchup against the Redskins in Week 10, but he’s just a boom-or-bust FLEX option the rest of the way as he splits time with Chris Godwin and Adam Humphries.

Jaron Brown scores in Week 9.
Brown make a nice leaping catch in the end zone, seemingly coming out of nowhere in the back of the end zone for a ten-yard touchdown. It was Brown’s lone reception against the Chargers, but he made it count. Brown is more of a solid real-life contributor for the Seahawks than he is a reliable fantasy option.
11/5/18 - 12:21 PM ET
Marvin Jones Jr. leads the Lions in Week 9 receiving.
Jones caught six-of-eight targets for 66 yards against the Vikings. Considering the struggles of the Lions offensively in the game, it was a solid performance for Jones. At the midway point in the season, Jones is on pace for 64 receptions, 906 yards, and ten touchdowns.
11/5/18 - 11:00 AM ET
Matt LaCosse catches 44-yard pass in loss to the Texans.
It came on his only target of the game. LaCosse won’t be a recommended fantasy option when Denver returns from their Week 10 bye.
11/5/18 - 12:21 PM ET
LeGarrette Blount gets six touches in Week 9.
Blount carried five times for eight yards and added two reception for two yards against the Vikings. Through eight games, the veteran running back is on pace for 130 carries, 356 rushing yards, six rushing touchdowns, ten receptions, and 78 receiving yards. He’ll typically need a touchdown to deliver startable fantasy value in the second half of the season.
11/5/18 - 10:58 AM ET
Emmanuel Sanders caught six passes for 47 yards in Sunday’s loss to the Texans.
Sanders saw a healthy nine targets, but Houston did a nice job containing him. While the veteran receiver has a 56/707/3 line heading into the bye, he will likely be more of a FLEX option than WR2 for a matchup with Casey Hayward and the Chargers next time out.
11/5/18 - 12:19 PM ET
Chris Godwin caught two passes for 40 yards in Sunday’s loss to the Panthers.
The Penn State product saw just three targets, but he was more effective than Mike Evans (one reception for 16 yards on ten targets) and DeSean Jackson (two receptions for 32 yards on four targets). At the season’s midway point, Godwin is on pace for a solid 60/760/8 line, but it would have been nice to see Tampa Bay trade Jackson so that their emerging second-year receiver could have an every-down role down the stretch. Still, he remains a quality FLEX option in all formats heading into a matchup with the Redskins in Week 10.
