Jared Goff | Lions QB

Jared Goff, Rams lose their first game of the season, 45-35, in New Orleans.

Goff was 28/40 for 391 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception, also adding three carries for 17 yards. Los Angeles faced a 35-14 deficit with less than 30 seconds left in the second quarter, but Goff was able to get the team in field goal range to close out the half with a 56-yarder by Greg Zuerlein, and then the Rams went touchdown, field goal, touchdown to open the second half while forcing the Saints to punt twice. Unfortunately, Marcus Peters was burnt by Michael Thomas on a 72-yard touchdown to basically seals the game in the fourth quarter, but it was still a great game by Goff, who found Brandin Cooks (four yards), Malcolm Brown (18 yards), and Cooper Kupp (41 yards) in a comeback effort and again threw strikes all afternoon. The 24-year-old should be a solid QB1 for a home matchup against the Seahawks next week before a huge Monday Night Football battle with the Chiefs in Week 11.

T.J. Jones | Free Agent WR

T.J. Jones catches two passes in Lions’ loss.

Jones gained 13 yards on his two receptions against the Vikings. With Golden Tate now in Philadelphia, Jones is Detroit’s third receiver. He’s made plays when given opportunities the last two seasons in particular, and he’ll look to make a big impact in the second half of the season.

11/5/18 - 11:04 AM ET

Andy Janovich | Texans FB

Andy Janovich catches nine-yard pass in Week 9 loss.

It was his only touch of the game. Denver’s fullback won’t be a recommended fantasy option coming out of the bye.

11/5/18 - 12:23 PM ET

Luke Willson | Retired TE

Luke Willson catches both targets in Week 9.

Willson gained 17 yards on his two receptions versus Minnesota. The former Seahawk isn’t a fantasy option right now.

11/5/18 - 11:02 AM ET

Ed Dickson | Free Agent TE

Ed Dickson did not catch a pass versus the Chargers.

After a 2/54/1 line in his 2018 debut last week, Dickson was targeted just once in Seattle’s Week 9 loss while Nick Vannett (six receptions, 52 yards, touchdown) was the top tight end for the team. Dickson could go on to have a solid second half, but he’s difficult to trust in what looks like a volatile tight-end group right now.

11/5/18 - 12:23 PM ET

Theo Riddick | Retired RB

Theo Riddick catches seven passes against the Vikings.

Riddick’s seven receptions were a team-high for the Lions, and he gained 36 yards on them. It’s good to see Riddick back on the field after missing two games, but he’s only a fantasy option in PPR leagues as a low-upside FLEX option.

11/5/18 - 11:01 AM ET

Tim Patrick | Lions WR

Tim Patrick caught one pass in Sunday’s loss.

It went for 17 yards, but Patrick saw four targets as Denver’s No. 3 receiver. Fourth-round pick DaeSean Hamilton (knee) should be back after the team’s Week 10 bye, though, so Patrick probably won’t have much fantasy value down the stretch if everyone stays healthy.
