Kirk Cousins | Falcons QB

Kirk Cousins throws one touchdown in Vikings’ win.

Cousins was 18/22 for 164 yards, one touchdown, and one interception against the Lions. He was also credited with a fumble lost on a pitch to Dalvin Cook, but a stat correction might change that to a fumble for Cook. The interception was a ball forced into coverage to Adam Thielen, and the touchdown was a red-zone throw to Thielen. It was a disappointing performance for fantasy owners, but overall Cousins played well. He now gets the bye week before facing the Bears in Week 11

Robert Woods | Steelers WR

Robert Woods has another solid day, but Rams lose their first game of the year.

Woods caught five passes for 71 yards, also adding two carries for four yards. The USC product has at least five receptions and 70 yards in every game since the opener, and he remains a high-floor, matchup-proof WR1/WR2 as a key cog in Sean McVay’s offense. Woods went for 5/92 in Seattle earlier this year, so he will look to match or better those numbers when the Seahawks come to town in Week 10.

11/5/18 - 12:40 PM ET

Cameron Brate | Free Agent TE

Cameron Brate caught three passes for 15 yards in Sunday’s loss to Carolina.

Brate hauled in all three of his targets, but he’s simply not getting many looks with O.J. Howard dominating and so many other weapons on the offense. With just 14 receptions for 129 yards yards this season, Brate needs a touchdown (he has three of them) to be worth a start. It’s probably safer to look elsewhere for Week 10.

11/5/18 - 11:07 AM ET

Todd Gurley | Free Agent RB

Todd Gurley bottled up, but still goes for 79 yards and a touchdown in Week 9 loss.

Gurley rushed 13 times for 68 yards and a touchdown, also adding six receptions (on seven targets) for 11 yards as the Rams picked up their first loss of the season. The Saints did an excellent job flying to Gurley and making the tackle underneath, and a 35-14 lead was enough to hold off a comeback attempt by Sean McVay’s high-powered offense. Gurley should handle more than 19 touches next week against Seattle as Los Angeles looks to basically put away the division before a big Monday Night Football game against Kansas City.

11/5/18 - 12:37 PM ET

Michael Roberts | Free Agent TE

Michael Roberts catches one pass against Minnesota.

Roberts gained 12 yards on his lone reception in the Lions’ Week 9 loss. The second-year tight end has upside, but he’s not a recommended fantasy option at the moment.

11/5/18 - 11:05 AM ET

Drew Brees | Retired QB

Drew Brees throws four touchdowns in Saints’ big win over the Rams.

Brees was basically flawless in the Week 9 home win to end LA’s undefeated season, as he threw the ball super-accurately to all areas of the field and picked apart the Rams defense all game—putting up 45 points and 35 in the first half. The future Hall of Fam quarterback was 25/36 for 346 yards and four touchdowns along with four carries for 17 yards to get the Saints to 7-1 and the driver’s seat for the top seed in the NFC. The touchdowns were to Alvin Kamara, Tre’Quan Smith, Benjamin Watson, and Michael Thomas. Through eight games, Brees is on pace for 4,672 passing yards, 36 passing touchdowns, and two interceptions with a completion percentage of 76.3% that would shatter his own single-season record of 72.0%. Brees is also on pace for 50 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns, but he might ultimately get the under on that. The struggling pass defense of the Bengals might have trouble containing Brees next week.

11/5/18 - 12:36 PM ET

Mike Evans | Buccaneers WR

Mike Evans has extremely inefficient day as Tampa Bay falls to Carolina, 42-28.

Evans caught one-of-ten targets for 16 yards in the loss, marking the first time in his age-25 campaign that he’s been held below 58 yards. The Panthers simply shut him down, and Evans couldn’t get on the same page as Ryan Fitzpatrick. At the season’s midway point, the big-bodied wideout is on pace for a 94/1,572/8 line, but the emergence of O.J. Howard combined with Fitzpatrick’s willingness to spread the ball around has led to fewer scores for Evans. Consider him a low-end WR1 for a battle with Josh Norman and the Redskins next Sunday.
