Hogan followed up last week’s season-high in yardage with a season-high in receptions this week, catching six passes for 63 yards in the Week 7 win. Hogan was mostly used as an inside target down the seam with no Rob Gronkowski in the game for the Patriots. Next Hogan faces the Bills, a team he had four receptions for 91 yards and a touchdown against in their second matchup last season.

Keke Coutee (hamstring) is questionable to return against the Jaguars.
The rookie receiver wasn’t listed on the injury report this week, but he’s dealt with hamstring injuries to start his career. Hopefully he’s able to return to the game soon.

Josh Gordon hits 100 yards in Week 7.
Gordon caught four passes (on seven targets) for 100 yards against the Bears, making it a new high in yardage for Gordon with the Patriots. The highlight of Gordon’s afternoon was a 55-yard catch-and-run on a deep dig route, as Gordon broke a couple of tackles after making the catch then glided all the way inside the five-yard line and nearly scored. Gordon is obviously an extremely potent receiver that’s starting to get more comfortable in New England’s offense. The former All-Pro might see a lot of Bills shutdown cornerback Tre’Davious White in Week 8, but he’s a high-upside option in fantasy lineups.

LeSean McCoy (head) is out for the rest of today’s game.
The Bills aren’t calling it a concussion, instead calling it a head injury. Either way, hopefully he’s feeling better soon. McCoy’s day ends with two carries for one yard. Chris Ivory will handle most of the backfield work with McCoy out.

Cordarrelle Patterson returns kickoff for touchdown in Week 7.
Patterson lost a fumble on a kickoff against the Bears, but he bounced back with a 95-yard kickoff return for New England’s first of two special-teams scores. Patterson also had a four-yard carry on offense. Outside of leagues that award points for return yardage, Patterson is off the fantasy radar right now.

Sony Michel suffers apparent leg injury against the Bears.
Michel just had his lower leg twisted awkwardly and fumbled on the play, and he had to be helped to the sideline. It’s not a good sign that the pain apparently caused Michel to drop the ball and fumble, and it has the look of a potentially serious injury. Hopefully this ins’t as bad as it looks, and we’ll update you as more information becomes available on the exceptional rookie running back.

Kenjon Barner gets ten carries against the Bears.
After Sony Michel went down with a leg injury, Barner stepped in and received his most extensive action with the Patriots yet. Barner carried ten times for 36 yards in the Week 7 victory. The Oregon product ran hard, and he could have a sizable role in New England’s offense moving forward assuming Michel misses time. New England could also bring in another running back via a trade or free agency, but Barner is worth a look as a waiver wire pickup this week.
