Join now >Odell Beckham Jr. caught six passes for 44 yards in Thursday night’s loss to the Eagles.
Beckham was second on the team with ten targets, and he also fumbled another punt, though he was able to recover it. The biggest impact OBJ made was on the sideline, as he once again lost his cool with a couple miniature temper tantrums, and it’s very clear that he is a negative influence on the entire team. Before the end of the first half, he went into the locker room early, so he wasn’t on the field for the team’s final offensive snap, and it’s fair to wonder whether or not New York already regrets signing him to a long-term extension in the offseason. Beckham will look to put up better numbers when he takes on the Falcons next Monday night.

Nelson Agholor makes two big catches in Eagles’ win.
Unfortunately, the Eagles didn’t scheme to get Agholor the ball much against the Giants, as he was targeted just five times in the win. However, the fourth-year receivers high effort level led to a couple of big plays—a 32-yard reception and a 58-yard reception—to make it a very good game for fantasy owners. The 32-yard reception was on a pass that floated in the air after Carson Wentz’s arm was hit, and Agholor came back to the ball to make the catch and gain positive yardage—which as Troy Aikman noted on the broadcast, a lot of receivers don’t do. And the 58-yard reception was on a play where he was probably no better than the third or fourth read but made himself available down the field; he nearly took it the distance when he got the ball. It could’ve been a huge night if the team would get the ball in his hands, but they ran a couple of screens to Alshon Jeffery instead, with one coming at the goal line for a score. Overall, Agholor had three receptions for 91 yards in the win. Until he’s more of a focus on offense, the explosive USC product is more of a FLEX option in fantasy lineups.

Wayne Gallman handles six touches in Week 6 loss to the Eagles.
Gallman rushed four times for 17 yards and caught two passes for 25 yards. The second-year back has the talent to make an impact, but he has limited standalone value behind superstar workhorse Saquon Barkley. Gallman will look to play well again as a change-of-pace option next Monday night against the Falcons.

Saquon Barkley totals 229 yards in primetime loss to the Eagles.
Barkley rushed 13 times for 130 yards and a touchdown, also adding nine receptions for 99 yards on 12 targets, all of which led the team. Basically, Saquon was the only source of offense in a 34-13 loss, and he made highlight play after highlight play against Philly’s elite defensive front—so much so that he was compared to Emmitt Smith, Barry Sanders, and Earl Campbell by the FOX broadcast. The Giants should feed the No. 2 overall pick for the remainder of the season, and he looks like a weekly top-five play regardless of matchup. A case could be made for him as the top option at the position in Week 7 when New York takes on Atlanta.

Corey Clement scores against the Giants.
Clement was said to be on a snap count in tonight’s matchup, but he played important snaps behind starter Wendell Smallwood, carrying 11 times for 43 yards and a touchdown along with three receptions for 26 yards. The score came at the goal line after he set it up with a nice run down to the one-yard line, and his involvement both in the red zone and as a receiver was promising. Smallwood received 19 touches in the game, but Clement is likely to be off the snap count moving forward and should become the preferred FLEX option of the two—assuming the Eagles do not make a trade for another running back in the coming days.

Wendell Smallwood gets 19 touches in Week 6.
With Jay Ajayi (knee) done for the season, Smallwood drew the start and worked as the top running back for the Eagles while Corey Clement (14 touches, touchdown) also received a sizable workload. Smallwood carried 18 times for 51 yards and added one reception for zero yards in the win over the Giants. While the third-year back has run the ball well to open the season, there wasn’t much room for him to run in this matchup. Assuming the Eagles don’t make a trade before then, Smallwood will be a FLEX option for Week 7 versus the Panthers.

Eli Manning, Giants struggle in 34-13 loss to the Eagles.
Manning was 24/43 for 281 yards, zero touchdowns, and one interception, which came on the second play of the game. Saquon Barkley (22 touches for 229 yards and a touchdown) was the only source of offensive on the night for New York, and the passing attack really didn’t challenge Philadelphia’s vulnerable secondary at all downfield. At one point, head coach Pat Shurmur even appeared to say “throw the ball” on the sideline when Eli checked down, and while protection is an issue, the quarterback clearly needs to play better. The Giants now sit at 1-5, and even heading into a cupcake matchup with the Falcons, it’s difficult to trust Manning for fantasy purposes.
