Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said Vannett will play on Sunday, but he’s indicated similar things about players in the past. The bottom line is that while Carroll is an optimistic person and expects his starting tight end to play, it’s no lock. Vannett’s status will be known by 11:30 AM ET on Sunday.

De’Anthony Thomas re-fractured his leg, Chiefs head athletic trainer Rick Burkholder announced.
Thomas broke his leg at the end of the regular season last year, and he had it re-fractured when it was stepped on from behind during yesterday’s practice. The Chiefs say Thomas won’t need surgery, but this is tough luck for the Oregon product. His season could be over, and we’ll see if he’s sent to injured reserve soon.

Jamison Crowder (ankle) is questionable for Sunday against the Panthers.
It would be a surprise if Crowder missed the game because of his ankle injury, but he’s no lock to play in the Week 6 matchup. Check back in for Crowder’s official game status at 11:30 AM ET on Sunday.

Paul Richardson (shoulder/knee) is questionable for Week 6.
Richardson is probably a true game-time decision, but it’s probably the knee that’s giving him more of an issue after it knocked him out of Monday’s loss to the Saints. Richardson’s status will be known by noon on Sunday.
10/12/18 - 01:50 PM ET
Adrian Peterson (shoulder/ankle/knee) will be listed as questionable for Sunday.
Peterson is dealing with a few different ailments, but it’s not expected to hold him out of Week 6. All Day has been up-and-down this season, so he’s probably determined to get on track with a strong performance in a couple days against the Panthers. Peterson will be an RB2/FLEX option, assuming he’s active for the game. His status will be official by 11:30 AM ET on Sunday.
10/12/18 - 01:48 PM ET
Chris Thompson (rib) will be listed as questionable for Week 6.
Thompson is expected to be ready to go against the Panthers on Sunday, but it’s no lock. He was limited in practice this week, but Wednesday’s practice was a light practice after the team just played on Monday. He might be a true game-time call, but the Redskins could certainly use him as they look to bounce back from their Week 5 loss. Thompson would be an RB2/FLEX option if active, and the Redskins play in the early games so his status will be known before Sunday kickoffs.
10/12/18 - 01:43 PM ET
Devonta Freeman (foot, groin) has been ruled out for Week 6.
Falcons head coach Dan Quinn just announced Freeman will not play against the Buccaneers on Sunday, and the team’s starting running back is also dealing with a groin injury in addition to his foot issue. This means it’ll be Tevin Coleman drawing the start with rookie Ito Smith mixing in. Coleman should see around 15-20 touches while Smith could see 10-15 touches in a good matchup. Coleman is immediately an RB1 option for Week 6, and Smith is in the FLEX conversation. Freeman’s foot injury isn’t thought to be long-term, but the groin injury complicates things a bit; he should be considered week-to-week for now.
