Join now >Adrian Peterson handles just six touches in blowout loss to the Saints.
Peterson had a scare when he hyperextended his knee on the second play from scrimmage, but he fortunately ended up returning. All Day finished with four carries for six yards and added two receptions for 36 yards through the air. Through four weeks, Peterson has run hot and cold, but he’s on pace for 968 yards and 12 touchdowns at the season’s quarter-mark, also chipping in a surprising 136 receiving yards so far. The future Hall of Famer gets a tough matchup with the Panthers next Sunday, so fantasy owners should probably wait until Week 7 to get him back in lineups.

The Jaguars are releasing Brandon Wilds, according to Tom Pelissero.
Jacksonville needs a roster spot to sign veteran Jamaal Charles, so the 25-year-old is being released. In three games this season, Wilds had just six carries for 15 yards, mostly contributing on special teams.

Taysom Hill scores first career touchdown in Saints’ win.
Hill again received a good amount of work at quarterback on zone-reads and designed quarterback runs, and he carried five times for 23 yards and a touchdown in the Monday night win against the Redskins. The score was on a designed quarterback sweep that Hill took to the corner for six. Congrats to Hill on his first NFL touchdown, and it could be the first of many for the athletic former BYU star. He’s not a starting fantasy option in standard-sized fantasy leagues, though.

The Jaguars are signing Jamaal Charles, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
With Jacksonville hurting at the running back position due to Leonard Fournette (hamstring) still being out and Corey Grant (Lisfranc) landing on injured reserve, the former Chiefs star, who spent last season with the Broncos, finds a new team for 2018. The 31-year-old running back will become an immediate complement to T.J. Yeldon in Fournette’s continued absence, but it’s a stretch to think he’ll be a big-time fantasy asset. It might take Charles until Fournette is back to get into the swing of things on offense, at which point his role might be limited to a few touches per game at most. Overall, Charles is not a highly-recommended waiver-wire pickup, but he’s worth a desperation shot if you want to add the former 1,500-yard rusher to your roster.

Kapri Bibbs scores in loss to the Saints.
Bibbs rushed four times for nine yards, including a one-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter. The 25-year-old could be in for an extended role in the coming weeks if it turns out that Chris Thompson (knee) will miss time, but hopefully Washington’s dynamic receiving back is fine; if not, Bibbs is worth a look in all PPR formats heading into a matchup with the Panthers.

Evan Engram (knee) will be “full speed” at today’s practice.
We’ll let you know if anything changes, but it sounds like Engram will be a full participant in today’s practice. Giants head coach Pat Shurmur remains optimistic about the second-year tight end’s chances of playing on Thursday night against the Eagles, and he’s leaning towards the probable side of things as of now. We’ll see how Engram is listed on the official injury report for the game when it’s released tomorrow.

Alvin Kamara gets nine offensive touches against the Redskins.
Kamara carried six times for 24 yards and added three receptions (on four targets) for 15 yards in the Monday night victory. Returning from his four-game suspension, Mark Ingram received 16 carries and 18 touches total—with two goal line scores—in the win, which was probably disappointing for Kamara owners. However, there certainly isn’t any reason to panic, and Kamara has elite RB1 upside very week even with Ingram back in the mix.
