Join now >Paul Richardson (knee) is doubtful to return against the Saints.
It’s unclear when Richardson suffered the knee injury, but his night is almost certainly done with the Redskins down by 30 points in the fourth quarter. Before leaving, Richardson caught four passes for 50 yards. More information on the extension of Richardson’s injury should becomes available in the next 24-48 hours.

Cameron Meredith catches all five targets in Saints’ win.
Meredith gained 71 yards on his five reception against the Redskins, including a long of 46 yards that he nearly took the distance. Meredith did lose a fumble, though, which could potentially lead to a decrease in playing time with rookie Tre’Quan Smith stepping up and Ted Ginn Jr. likely to return after the bye week.

Adrian Peterson has returned against the Saints.
Thankfully it was just a hyperextended knee for Peterson, who is back in the game for the Redskins. He didn’t miss any time because of the hit.

Adrian Peterson leaves game with apparent lower leg injury.
On the second play of the game for the Redskins, Peterson received a swing pass in the flat and took a low hit, and you could tell he was immediately in pain; AD laid on the ground for a few seconds, which is uncommon for such a tough guy, and he got up and limped off the field. The ESPN broadcast mind-blowingly didn’t even mention the injury, but the replay appeared to show his knee move a way it’s not supposed to. Hopefully it’s just a hypertension for the future Hall of Fame running back, but we’ll update you as more information becomes available.

Jamison Crowder leads Washington in receiving as they get blown out on Monday Night Football.
Crowder caught four passes for 55 yards while tying for the team lead in targets. He had a couple downfield opportunities, but Crowder and Alex Smith couldn’t connect. Through four games, the Redskins’ slot receiver is on pace for just a 52/536/4 receiving line, but we think he should be able to best those numbers as the schedule softens up. Also, Chris Thompson (knee) potentially missing time would likely be a boost to Crowder. He’s a decent FLEX option next Sunday against the Panthers.

Dante Pettis (knee) is out for Week 6.
The team has already decided to rule Pettis out for the second straight week, indicating he isn’t very close to a return. Consider Pettis week-to-week for now. He doesn’t need to be on fantasy rosters, but he could be an impact guy later in the season.

Michael Thomas catches four passes in Week 5.
Thomas gained 74 yards on his four receptions (five targets) against the Redskins. It felt like a relatively quiet night for Thomas, but he still ended up with 74 yards in the game. Thomas will be a high-floor option when the Saints take on the Ravens in a couple weeks.
