Austin had three receptions for two yards and a touchdown along with one carry for 18 yards in the loss to Seattle. The score was on a nicely designed pop pass by the goal line, and it was Austin’s second touchdown in as many weeks. The Cowboys are using Austin, but he remains a volatile fantasy option.

J.J. Nelson doesn’t catch a pass in Week 3.
Nelson was targeted on a deep pass, but he stopped running, which led to an easy interception for the Bears. The track-speed deep threat has not caught a pass this season.

Keenan Allen held in check as Chargers fall to the Rams, 35-23.
Allen caught three passes for 44 yards and lost a fumble in the loss. The 26-year-old also looked to get a little banged up late in the game, but he should be fine for Week 4. If so, Philip Rivers’ favorite target should be considered a WR1 option in what looks to be a bounce back spot at home against the 49ers.

Chad Williams catches one pass in Week 3.
Williams gained eight yards on his lone reception. It was Williams’ first catch of the season, as he’s struggled to get much separation on predictable routes.

Ezekiel Elliott goes over 100 yards in Cowboys’ loss.
Elliott received 16 carries against the Seahawks, gaining 127 yards, and he added three receptions for 11 yards. Zeke gashed Seattle’s defense for chunk yardage throughout the game, but he did have a costly fumble at the end of a long run. This was the first 100-yard game of the season for Elliott, but it was also the first he didn’t score a touchdown. Overall, Elliott is providing solid production for fantasy owners that took him early in drafts. Look for Elliott to get closer to 20-25 carries in Week 4 against the Lions.

Larry Fitzgerald catches two passes against the Bears.
Fitz gained nine yards on his two receptions (two targets). There wasn’t any question Fitzgerald was going to play, but he was clearly at less than 100% while dealing with his hamstring injury. He appeared to be limping at least once in the game, and he didn’t play every snap. Hopefully another week will get Fitz back closer to 100% for a matchup with the Seahawks. As usual, Fitz was an excellent leader, giving Sam Bradford words of encouragement after Bradford was benched at the end of the game. Now, a rookie quarterback might be under-center for the Cardinals, but perhaps Josh Rosen would lock onto and force the ball to the future Hall of Fame receiver. The worst part is that it’s a shame Fitz is on a bad team in what could be the final season of his great career.

Cowboys offense can’t get much going against the Seahawks.
Seattle had a very good defensive showing at home, forcing a few turnovers against Dallas to get their first win of the season. Dak Prescott was 19/34 for 168 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions along with two carries for 21 yards. The stat line obviously doesn’t look good, but the first interception was off a dropped pass, and the other was on a pass deflected up in the air. The score was a pop pass to Tavon Austin. Prescott has been under 200 passing yard for five straight games dating back to last season, and he’s difficult to trust in fantasy lineups right now.
