The Steelers are signing Jaylen Samuels to the practice squad.

After he was a final cut, Samuels rejoins Pittsburgh as a guy with experience and someone they can count on if he has to be called up from the practice squad this season.

The Packers are sign Equanimeous St. Brown to the practice squad.

Green Bay has a deep receiving group, but St. Brown will remain with the team as a depth guy on the practice squad. The Notre Dame product is not a highly-recommended hold in dynasty leagues.

The Bills are signing Jake Fromm to the practice squad, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Fromm not being claimed by a quarterback-needy team was the biggest surprise of the day, but Buffalo is bringing him back—and general manager Brandon Beane has said it won’t be as a “COVID quarterback” like last year. We would guess the Bills are hoping to have Fromm continue to progress and be the long-term No. 2 behind Josh Allen with Mitchell Trubisky on a one-year deal.

The Bears are signing Breshad Perriman.

Perriman was one of the bigger surprises to be cut this year, but the veteran receiver does well to land on an active roster, moving across the NFC North from the Lions to the Bears. Perriman has the potential to win a sizable role on the outside in Matt Nagy’s offense, but he should stay on waiver wires in fantasy leagues.

Antonio Gandy-Golden is signing with Washington’s practice squad.

It’s somewhat surprising that Gandy-Golden wasn’t claimed on waivers, but the former fourth-round pick now lands back with Washington after they just waived him to get to 53 players on the active roster. Outside of extremely deep leagues, AGG doesn’t need to be closely monitored from a fantasy perspective.

The Lions are signing Steven Montez to the practice squad.

Montez was with Washington, but he’ll now join the new regime in Detroit and look to develop there. Montez is off the fantasy radar at the moment.

The 49ers are signing Jordan Matthews to the practice squad.

This was fully expected after Matthews was a roster cut yesterday. The former receiver will continue getting better at tight end and will look to crack the Niners’ active roster at some point this season.
