Join now >Laquon Treadwell catches two passes in Week 1.
The third-year receiver worked as the clear No. 3 receiver for Minnesota, drawing four targets from Kirk Cousins in the game. Treadwell caught two passes for 18 yards, including a 16-yard reception in which he showed strong hands and turned up the field for positive yards after the catch. As likely the fifth or sixth option on Minnesota’s offense, it’s difficult to trust Treadwell in fantasy lineups. He’s a better real-life contributor for the Vikings.

Rishard Matthews held without a catch in Week 1 loss.
Matthews missed training camp and preseason action with an injury, and his only touch of the game came on an 18-yard punt return. The veteran should be better as he knocks the rust off, but probably shouldn’t be owned in 10- or 12-team leagues right now. Matthews will look to record his first reception of the season next week against the Texans.

Adam Thielen goes over 100 yards in Week 1 victory.
Thielen was Kirk Cousins’ primary target against the Niners, drawing a team-high 12 targets. Thielen caught six passes for 102 yards, including a long of 34 yards in the win. There was some concern about a lack of preseason connection between Cousins and Thielen, but Cousins looked comfortable targeting him throughout the afternoon. Thielen should remain in fantasy lineups next week against Green Bay.

Jonnu Smith catches 12-yard pass in loss to the Dolphins.
It was his only reception of the game, but Smith could have an extended role for the rest of 2018 after Delanie Walker suffered what appears to be a season-ending leg injury. The former third-round pick isn’t a must-own yet, but his dynasty stock has increased, and he is worth a look in deeper leagues. Smith will get his first shot to make an impact next Sunday against Houston.

Stefon Diggs scores in Vikings’ win.
Diggs caught the first touchdown of Kirk Cousins’ Minnesota career, as he got free on a 22-yard score on a go route down the left sideline in the second quarter. Overall, Diggs had three receptions for 43 receiving yards and the touchdown along with one rushing attempt for eight yards. Next week, Diggs gets a matchup against a Packers team he’s had success against in the past, but Green Bay has improved at the cornerback spot this season.

Tajae Sharpe catches one pass in season opener.
It went for 17 yards. Sharpe operated as one of Tennessee’s top-three receivers in the loss to Miami, but the passing game never got going with Blaine Gabbert replacing an injured Marcus Mariota through two weather delays. Sharpe isn’t a recommended fantasy option next week against the Texans.

Dalvin Cook handles 22 touches in Week 1 win.
There was no limitations for the second-year back coming off his torn ACL from last season, as he was given the ball early and often by the Vikings to open the year. Cook had 16 carries for 40 rushing yards along with six receptions for 55 receiving yards in the 24-16 victory against the Niners, but he did lose a fumble. Latavius Murray (11 carries for 42 yards) outperformed Cook on the ground, but the Vikings are basically treating Cook like a near-workhorse in an offense that’s going to run the ball a lot in 2018. Cook should obviously remain in all lineups next week against Green Bay.
